CHAPTER SIX

The next morning, when Felix woke up. He found Chris staring at him while he was sleeping. Chris did not look happy and Felix knew. That he was in trouble. He carefully got up into a sitting position on the bed he was laying down on. He looked Chris in the eye. And say to him.'' Look, I know I messed up last night. But I didn't know. So please don't be mad at me. For a simple mistake. That anyone could have done.'' Chris folded his arms. And crossed one leg over the other. He looked Felix dead in the eye. And told him. ''If you had paid attention. To the person. That you were speaking to, none of this would have happened''. as angry as Chris was. He couldn't help but fear. Of what would have happened had he not been there for Felix. It didn't help the situation at all. That Felix's friend. Left him by himself with a man he'd never seen before. When Felix and his friends had gotten to the bar. Chris was already there. With his friends. Among his friends was Jolene. She was the one that took notice of Felix first. And then she informed Chris. That Felix was there. Chris kept his distance. But. Kept looking out for Felix. He found a little bit of happiness in Felix's smile. Where across the room where he was sitting. At first, he didn't think of much. When Felix started dancing with a man he'd never seen before. But Chris kept an eye on the men. When Maggie left him alone on the dance floor, the guy asked Felix to sit down and have a drink with him. Chris thought he was being suspicious. He didn't like the way he was holding onto Felix. All the way to how he looked at him. He eventually saw the guy slip something into Felix's drink. And Felix, being the sweetheart that he is, took the drink and drank it without question. Chris was so mad. He almost beat the guy to death. Lucky for the guy. Chris Friend stopped him before he could have done more damage than he wanted to. He took Felix home. And made sure he was alright. But now that he has felix right in front of him. All his anger disappeared. And he just wants to make sure he's OK. Much as he was quite angry. The minute Felix looked him in the eye. And apologised to him in tiny. His anger disappeared immediately. Instead of yelling at him. He asked him what he wanted to eat. For the first time since Felix woke up. He looked up at Chris. And told him anything was OK as long as he did it. Chris told Felix to go take a shower while he made them breakfast. And Felix took this opportunity to think about what Chris had told him in the office the other day. He remembered all the good things that Chris had done for him and thought about how his life would be if Chris wasn't in it? He didn't like what he saw. And he made up his mind. That he was gonna go back to his love. When Felix was done taking a shower, he didn't have a set of changing clothes. So he raded Chris' wardrobe. Chris had a lot of black clothes. And they were baggy and loose. Felix tried them on. Once he was done, he went downstairs to the kitchen where Chris was preparing them both breakfast. When he got there, he smiled, seeing the price in the kitchen. Somehow, the big man. Looked. Really cute. In an apron. Felix was taken out of his thoughts when the doorbell rang. Chris asked him to get to the door. When Felix opened the door, Jolene was there. She seemed surprised to see him . Much less in Chris' clothes. Chris yelled from the kitchen and asked Felix who was at the door. Jolene waved her hands in front of Felix's face and told him that it was OK, but she would reach out to Chris when he was not busy. She told him that she was just there to check up on Chris since he was so mad last night about the invents that took place. Again. A wave of guilt washed over Felix and his cheeks turned red. From embarrassment. Jolene laughed and told Felix that it was okay. As long as he was safe. Jolene said goodbye and left. Felix didn't believe that he had just had a whole conversation with Jolene without her trying to murder him with her eyes. Jolene was not a big fan of Felix when they were young. When Chris asked Felix who was at the door, Felix told him that it was Joleen. He looked at Chris and asked him why she was so nice to him all of a sudden. Chris explained that he had told Jolene. Felix was the love of his life.'' In my eyes, nothing. Anyone and anybody who can change that fact.'' Hearing those words from Chris made Felix happy. He got closer to Chris and hugged him. He told him. ''Thank you.'' Chris was taken back and didn't know how to respond. And that made Felix laugh. Felix told him that it was okay. To hug him back. So Chris did as Felix told him to. Chris was happy and asked Felix what was up with him. And Felix told him that while he was in the shower. He made up his mind that he couldn't live without him anymore. He could. But he didn't want to leave a life without Chris by his side anymore. As much as Felix hated to admit he did still love Chris and that he was never gonna go away? So, instead of running away from it, he was going to embrace it. He told Chris that Yolanda had told him that if he ever found happiness that he should not let it go. Instead, embrace it.
