I held my breath.
His face was beginning to get closer to mine, slowly but surely, until I get feel his breath on my face. Thankfully, he must've drunk mouthwash or something, since his breath smelled minty.
That probably sounded weird, but it is what it is.
Eventually, his lips came down onto mine, bringing the warmth and fireworks I recently began feeling ever since I started acknowledging the emotions I held for Alexander. Other than hatred, of course.
Our mouths moved in synchronisation as we moved in a desperate haste to feel more. His hands moved to cup my face, bringing small tingles to the area he was touching.
My hands moved to his hair, where I then attempted to bring him more to the kiss than he already was. Just as his tongue licked the bottom of my lip, I heard Gina's familiar voice.
"Kelsie! Your dad is here!" She announced.
Scrambling away from Alex, I jumped up off my bed and gestured for him to get up, too. With a sigh, he got up from my bed and grabbed my hand.
Leading him downstairs, I entered the living room to see my dad embracing Gina.
"Hey, dad." I greeted him, watching how they pulled away.
"There's my little pumpkin," my dad smiled as he saw me, his smile drooping slightly when he saw the dirty-blonde guy standing beside me. "And this is..."
"Alexander, sir. I'm Kelsie's boyfriend." Alex squeezed onto my hand, as if he was scared I would let go.
Though, what he didn't know was that as long as this conversation between him and my dad would last, I wasn't leaving. My dad loved interrogating people; once he even interviewed Gary the postman.
"I presume you are also the silly boy that got my daughter pregnant?" My dad raised any eyebrow.
Actually, never mind. I didn't want to stay here and listen to the excruciating interrogation my dad was putting my boyfriend through, especially if my or pregnancy was involved.
Alexander cleared throat. "Yes,"
"Well, you better look after her and the child you helped create. I don't want you running off, or I'll show you how an angry dad can get." My dad threatened Alex, with the tiniest hint of humour in his voice.
Alex didn't seem too fazed, but for the sake of not bringing up the mad side of my father, he nodded. "Yes, sir."
Deciding this was enough, I pulled Alexander away from my dad. "OK, dad. I'm going back upstairs with him now."
The slight chuckle from my dad caused Alex to look at me, confused. I brushed him off, since I knew Alex, and that meant I knew how he didn't care about people's opinions of him. Clearly – with the way he styles his hair.
Not like it's a bad thing, since I find it incredibly sexy, but this generation seems to be creating an outage of hair gel with the amounts they're using.
"Oh! Don't forget that you've got a midwife appointment tomorrow!" Gina told me, just before I went up the stairs.
Once we got into my room, Alexander gave me a perplexed glance. "Tomorrow? You couldn't tell me your first appointment is tomorrow."
I threw my hands up. "Chill out. I only found out just now, too. Anyway, let's watch some Netflix."

"I'm f*****g sweating, Kelsie." Alexander whispered to me, his hands rubbing together.
We were currently sitting in the waiting room at the doctor's, waiting to be called upon. Gina offered to come with us, considering the fact it was a Saturday, insisting she didn't have work and would supervise us.
Alex decided to meet us a few minutes ago, even though Gina and I have been waiting to be checked in for half an hour. He claimed he didn't realise you needed to turn up ages before, and that he needed time to mentally prepare himself for this.
Honestly, I couldn't blame him, since I was having a hard time processing that all of this was truly happening, too.
"Well, I am too." I revealed, looking at the door with my supposed midwife in agony.
"How is your step-mum so calm about all of this? Your dad looked like he wanted to murder me." Alex nodded towards where Gina was sitting with a magazine in her hands.
Shrugging, I looked down at the floor. "She's cool like that."
"Kelsie Marie Fray, you may come in, now." The doctor announced, scanning the small waiting room.
Hesitant, I looked over at Alexander, before standing up and slowly trailing to the room and hoping that he wouldn't just turn around and run.
Once we got inside, Gina sat near the doctor while I sat on the bed and Alex sat on the chair beside me. The room smelt of cinnamon, which was good, since all the rooms I'm used to smelling usually reminded me of chemicals.
What is it with me and smells recently?
"Alright, let's get started. My name is Dr. Hill, but you can just call me Abbie." She announced, spinning her chair around to have a look at me. "I'll be guiding you throughout the pregnancy, so if something wrong ever occurs, call me."
I nodded, already feeling a lump forming in my throat. This was scaring me, and I'm sure it was scaring Alex, too. However, when I peered over at him, he had the same facial expression that he had when we were waiting for Dr. Hill.
"Today I'm just going to validate it within the maternity unit, as well as show you the beginning of the growth. Do you have any issues with that?" I shook my head. "Great. I'll go grab the tools, and you can just get comfortable."
As she left the room, I turned to Alex. "I change my mind. Let's run."
Shaking his head, a smirk emerged on his face. "Stay. I'm still coming to grips with this, but even I have the capacity to endure this."
Huffing, I laid down on the bed, looking up at the ceiling. The doctor then came into the room, dragging along a monitor with her, and placed it next to me. She then started plugging it in, before looking over at me.
"I'm going to need you to answer a few questions for me before we get started. Is this the father?"
Alex and I both nodded, and she clasped her hands together. Walking over to her computer, she began asking questions, to which Gina volunteered to answer, excluding anything to do with Alexander.
He had to answer them on his own, the poor soul.
"Now, I'm going to do a sonogram in order to check on the developing baby. The cream that I'm about to apply is cold, OK? Since your seventeen, I don't need to check for smoking levels or alcohol levels."
I held in the urge to tell her the times I got drunk. She must already be judging me for being a teen mother – I didn't want to add more to the prejudice.
As she pulled up my shirt and applied the bluish cream, I jerked in surprise. Alex held back a laugh, my reaction clearly amusing me.
"OK, let's see. Your about five weeks in, so a month and a bit." Dr. Hill – Abbie – informed me.
That made sense. About five weeks ago was Daisy's party.
"Oh! And what a surprised. I think you may have to start referring to your pregnancy in a plural way."
Alex and I both spluttered. Surely she couldn't mean what I thought she said. Thankfully, Alex decided to voice the thought that was on both of our minds.
"What? Why?" He asked, cautiously.
"Because," she smiled, turning the monitor for us to see. "You're having twins."
