"Where's Liam?" I asked the maid when I woke up the next day.
My whole body still hurts, and I still have no energy, but the feeling is a lot better than yesterday. The only difference is that I can move my legs a little now.
I looked around, but the maid was the only thing I could see. I saw her opening the curtain, and I also saw a tray of breakfast on the bedside table, but there was no sign of Liam.
"Sir Liam left for work, ma'am. He left earlier at seven," she answered after the sunlight entered the room.
"Is that so? Did he leave a note?" Excitement bloomed inside me, and I forced myself to inspect the bedside table for a note from him.
I remember him leaving a note after our first time, and it really made me happy.
"I didn't see anything, ma'am."
