Mark Tony leaned back in the chair, arms crossed, eyes sharp in that way they get when he’s done listening and ready to dissect. The office smelled faintly of coffee and old wood, a room built for decisions that don’t always leave clean hands. “The shipyard wasn’t random,” he said. “You know that.” I nodded. “I know.
