The diner hummed with activity as Mia weaved through the crowded tables, her pen poised and her order pad at the ready as she tended to the needs of the hungry patrons. It was a busy evening, the air thick with the aroma of sizzling bacon and freshly brewed coffee as Mia moved with grace and efficiency, her eyes scanning the room for any signs of distress or dissatisfaction.
And then, as if drawn by some unseen force, Mia's gaze fell upon a lone figure sitting at the far end of the counter—a man whose presence seemed to command the attention of everyone around him. Tall and imposing, with broad shoulders and chiseled features, he exuded an air of mystery and intrigue that sent a shiver of anticipation down Mia's spine.
With a sense of curiosity burning in her chest, Mia approached the man, her heart pounding with a mixture of excitement and apprehension as she prepared to take his order. "Good evening. What can I get for you tonight?" Mia nervously cast her eyes down for a second and back up as she gave the stranger a once over.
The man regarded her with a gaze as intense as it was inscrutable, his eyes sparkling with a hint of amusement as he spoke. "I'll have a coffee, black, and a slice of apple pie, please."
Mia nodded, her pulse quickening with each passing moment as she turned to fulfill the man's order. There was something about him, a magnetism that drew her in despite her better judgment, a sense of danger that only served to heighten her intrigue.
Mia couldn't help but steal glances at the man, her mind racing with questions and possibilities. Who was he? What was he doing here? And why did he seem to hold such power over her senses?
‘Snap out of it Mia, your a grown woman, how can a man have this pull over you after what we went through’
Mia Looked around, what did she just hear.
‘Its me Alera, im your wolf’
Wait what!
‘I stayed hidden until now because I didn't want anymore danger to come to you, but you see to have a knack for finding it…’ Alera said snorting.
Mia's head spun, my wolf….after all these years, finally. She couldn't believe it.
But just as Mia was about to approach the man once more, she caught sight of something that made her blood run cold, a glint of a silver mark peeking out from beneath the man's sleeve, a telltale sign of the truth that lay hidden beneath his handsome exterior.
He was a lycan.
‘Hmmm, this one is dangerous..but very delicious’
Ok bad time to suddenly change your mind Alera.
Panic surged within Mia as she realized the danger of her situation, a lone she-wolf, surrounded by humans and a powerful lycan whose intentions were as mysterious as they were sinister. But even as fear threatened to consume her, another emotion stirred within her, a sense of exhilaration and desire that she couldn't deny.
With a mixture of fear and longing coursing through her veins, Mia approached the man once more, her heart pounding.
His presence exuded a magnetism that drew her in, like a moth to a flame, and she found herself unable to tear her gaze away from him.
With a nervous smile, Mia placed the man's coffee and pie in front of him, her fingers brushing against his ever so slightly as she did so. She felt a jolt of electricity shoot through her at the contact, a sensation that left her breathless and wanting more.
"Here you go," Mia said, her voice barely above a whisper as she met the man's intense gaze. "Enjoy your meal."
The man nodded in thanks, his lips curling into a slow, seductive smile that sent a shiver of desire down Mia's spine. "Thank you, I'm sure I will."
As he took a sip of his coffee, Mia couldn't help but steal glances at him whenever she thought he wasn't looking. There was something about him, an air of mystery and danger that both frightened and excited her in equal measure.
And then, as Mia passed by his table to tend to another customer, the man spoke again, his voice low and husky with a hint of something dark and alluring. "You have a name, don't you?"
‘YES WE DO!’
Shhh mia thought and rolled her eyes.
"Yes, I do. It's Mia."
The man's smile widened, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he leaned in closer. "Well, Mia, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Alex."
Alex.
‘Oohh Alex’ Alera purred.
Ok when We get home we are having a serious talk! Mia was starting to think her wolf was the reason she found these ‘troublesome’ people.
The name rolled off his tongue, sending a shiver of anticipation coursing through Mia's veins. There was something about him, a familiarity that she couldn't quite place, a connection that transcended the boundaries of time and space.
And as Mia lingered by Alex's table, she couldn't help but feel a sense of longing stirring within her, a desire that burned brighter with each passing moment, igniting a fire that threatened to consume her whole.
And as she made her way home through the deserted streets of the city, Mia couldn't help but wonder what lay in store for her and Alex.
