Chapter 1

(500 years later) (Bella POV) There were sounds of bells ringing. Sweet melodious voices sang around. I looked around with a frown. I was in the middle of a beautiful garden. But the place and the voices oddly felt familiar. It felt like peace. It felt..... Heavenly. I looked down at her dress with wide eyes. The dress I wore was a simple white sleeveless one that swayed with the wind. My long wavy red hair was beautifully set and pinned with a flower garland. Millions of questions raced through my mind. Where am I? Why does it feel so familiar? Why does it feel like home? "Bella" A voice rose as I quickly turned around. It was the same voice I hear every time I close my eyes. My heart was beating fast from that voice. My hands were a sweating mess. I felt excited and nervousness course through my body. Why do I always feel like that?!  I  frowned and squinted my eyes as I spotted a tall figure walking towards me. "Bella" he once again voiced as a shiver ran down my spine. The mysterious man was in a black shirt and pants. He had a black long cape trailing behind him and his neck was covered with fur. He looked like an unearthly prince. His face was half covered in veils but just from the other exposed half; we could see how beautiful he is. His eyes were black but had golden streaks and his skin was slightly tan and shining. I stared as he advances towards me. I felt myself wanting to run into his arms. I felt like embracing him. "I missed you, my beautiful angel" his voice was soothing to my heart. He put his hand on my cheek and a sudden shiver went through my spine. "I missed you so much" "I miss you too" my mouth moved on its own. He stared deep into my eyes and through the semi transparent veil, I could see the small genuine smile that made my heart skip a beat. Suddenly a series of trumpets blazed around them. We separated in shock and looked around. "We found them" a voice shouted before a man in pure white armor and helmet came into view. "Stay behind me!" the mysterious man shouted before moving in front of me. He reached his hand in the air and a red sword appeared in his hand. "I will protect you until my last breath," he said as he advanced forward fighting the warriors in white armor. A hand suddenly grabs onto me making me give out a loud scream. "Bella!!" the mysterious guy shouts my name. The momentary distraction became his weak point as he was cut by knees and made to fall down. One of the warriors opened his arm and a white glowing rope shot out and wraps itself around the mysterious man. I shouted and screamed not to hurt him.  A few more hands grabbed onto me, pushing me further away from the pained man. "Don't hurt her! Please don't!" he shouted struggling to break the white rope. "How dare you manipulate an angel into your charm" The one which looked like the leader hissed as he took out a white lash before slamming it straight at the mysterious guy. "Urgh" the latter groaned in pain, his hand forming to a wrist. "No!" I kept shouting and screaming but no one was listening. I felt my heart break to pieces. I shouted and begged for them to free him but they still turned a blind eye at me. "Death is what you should be punished with," the leader warrior said as my eyes widen. "No no. Please. No, don't!" I shouted but they started to pull me further away from him. "I will find you. I promise" the mysterious man said, his voice filled with pain. As the man took out a white sword and slashed at the mysterious man, I let out an ear bleeding scream. For a moment everything went blank.  I could only feel my heart is broken into a thousand pieces. "Isabella!" "Isabella, wake up!" "It's ok. It's just a dream" My eyes shot open and I sat upright breathing hard. "Oh thank god" my mother's voice rose as she ran her fingers through my messy hair. "Mom. I am ok" I replied although it was a complete lie. My forehead was filled with sweat and I was shivering. "Your nightmares are getting worse. I thought it stopped," she said worriedly as she gave me a glass of water. "I think it's time we once again visit the Psychiatrist" she mumbled taking out my usual tablet and handing it over to me. "Maybe she will increase the dose" My mother was always worried about my well being and I couldn’t help but feel guilty. I always make them worry. "I am ok mom. I will see what I can do. You can go and sleep" "Are you sure?" "Yes. Now go" After a few more minutes of compelling, I finally succeeded in making my mother go to bed. I looked at the alarm clock and sighed. 3 a.m. I made my way to the bathroom and splashed water all over my face. Nightmares... I have been having them ever since I was 12. Some days I dreamt of pleasant ones. Some days it was talks of fear. Some days were like the one I had today: dark and heartbreaking. But in every dream, one thing was the same. The mysterious man in his princely looks. Sometimes he looked like a demon. He had curled up horns in his head and a devilish grin. Sometimes he looked like a fairytale prince. His eyes were sometimes black lined with golden streak but when his emotions leak they turn to red with golden rings and streaks. His dress always consists of either red or black. And his jet black hair is always in a messy careless way. His smile always made my heart skip beats. Always made my breath label. My hand went to my cheek where he gently stroked in my dreams. The place had a tingling feeling. It was as if the dreams were real. "Who are you?" I whispered before letting out a sigh. I should sleep. I have college tomorrow and it's a 3 hour ride from here. I know my best option to avoid such a long distance is staying in some hostel but that is something out of option. Most of my night consists of screams and cries. I have spends days depressed about a nightmare. There were even a few times I daydreamed about that man. So moving to a hostel is such a huge risk. I went back to my room and fell diagonally on my bed, looking up at the ceiling. It is one hundred percent sure that I won't fall asleep that night. That man has been hunting in my dreams for so long. His voice was now so familiar but it still never fails to give a shiver down my spine. His face was always covered in veils or is partially dark. I had never seen a clear image of him but I knew deep down I know how he looks. The next day I lazily walk down after getting ready for college. "You look awful" my little brother commented as I rolled my eyes. "Thank you, Mr obvious" I grumbled as I pour myself some cereal. "I have called the doctor for your appointment. Come home early" my mother said as I groaned. "I don't need to go. I am ok" "No, you are not. You will come with me to the doctor. Your nightmares are only getting worse" she stated with no room for argument. "Fine" I finally surrendered as I quickly finished my food and made my way to the bus stop. After 3 hours of a bumpy sleep ride on the bus, I finally reached her college. I was in my final years, studying business management. (Short time skip) "How about we hit the star bucks?" Sam said as I walked out of the classes with my friends. After long dragging torturous hours, my class was finally over. "Good ideas. I am in a dying need of my favorite latte" Cassy said with a groan. No surprise there. Cassy has always been the one who hates classes. Mostly because she sucks at her subjects. "I can't come today," I told them will a sorry look. "Why?" Liam, the blond athletic guy in the group asked with a slight frown. "I have an early appointment" "Oh? Is it a date?" Cassy asked with a grin making me roll my eyes. "No. I have a doctor's appointment" I replied as my friend's face turned to that of worry. "It's still not getting better?" Carter asked as I gave him a small smile. "No. But it's ok." I had never planned to tell my friends about my psychological problem but unfortunately, on a drunken sleepover, I had the worst hit of the nightmare. Alchohol and nightmare don't go well together. I was a mess that night. Just as I turned to leave, a strong wind blew right across me. The air suddenly felt dense and my heart started to beat fast. I felt it hard to breathe and my body shivered. What is happening? I looked around not knowing what is wrong, A sound of footsteps suddenly filled my ears. It was as if that particular sound engulfed all other ones. I turned around with a troubled face. I felt an urging need to see who it was. No. I wanted to see who it was. As I turned, a tall figure walked through the door. He was wearing a black expensive looking suit. He had an expensive watch on his wrist and his eyes were covered with a dark sunglass. As if he could sense my presence he scanned the floor before it lands on me. He tensed then and there while my breath hitched. He removed his glasses with shaky hands making me let out a small surprised gasp. Black eyes with golden streaks. Just like in every single dream I had. "My beautiful angel" He whispered, his eyes starting to fill with tears. I watched as he dropped the files in his hand before walking to me. He cupped my face in his big hands, staring deep into my eyes. "I finally found you"
