Chapter Thirteen The next couple of days passed quietly until the morning of Petunia’s funeral. Wyatt had arranged a small graveside service, chosen scripture and music, and invited a soloist from the church choir. The church ladies were in charge of a reception at the church fellowship hall. Wyatt and Beatrice left early to make sure the funeral home had set everything up. Petunia’s parents were there early, too, looking pale and pinched at the service of their daughter that they never thought they’d have. It made Beatrice sad to see how young Petunia’s parents were . . . they must be around fifty . . . and how horribly shocked they must be to be at their daughter’s funeral service.
