Chapter Three Beatrice peeped out the front door to confirm it and sure enough, there was Meadow, looking somewhat out of breath and waving impatiently at her. In attendance was her darling grandson Will, who looked a little stunned: possibly because a very fast stroller ride had preceded their arrival at Beatrice’s cottage. Beatrice opened the door and gently removed Will from the stroller as Meadow walked in. “Clearly,” said Beatrice dryly, “you’ve heard the news. I was going to give you a call after I filled Wyatt in, but you’ve beaten me to it.” “Ramsay told me. At least, he told me after I forced it out of him. I was wondering why he’d left his breakfast half-eaten. One minute, I’d given him a hearty plate full of eggs and biscuits and sausage, which he was enthusiastically eating.
