Beta Tyler stood the moment Arwen entered the meeting chamber. His shoulders were covered in claw marks that hadn’t fully healed, his face pale and tense.
Gamma Finn stood behind him, his expression just as strained.
Arwen halted in front of them, still clutching Zion’s ring. Her breathing was unsteady.
“Tyler, what is it? Please… don’t give me any more bad news.”
Tyler swallowed hard. “Luna, we’re going to search the river mouth that leads to the Eclipse Sanctuary valley. It’s the most likely path Alpha’s body took when he fell.”
Arwen froze. For a moment she lost her voice.
Finn stepped forward. “We don’t want to give you false hope, but there’s a chance Alpha Zion was carried downstream toward that area. If that happened, there will be traces.”
