“Let me check it, Ryan.” Robyn’s voice was steady, though her eyes never strayed from the pale blue glow shimmering from the gate before them. Ryan narrowed his eyes. “Don’t be reckless. This scent is foreign—and only something bold would dare come this close.” Robyn flicked a glance at her brother, a faint smile tugging at her lips. “That’s exactly why I should go. You’re the Alpha. If anything happens, the Pack needs you here.” Ryan hesitated, exhaling heavily before conceding. “Fine. But don’t cross the protective line of the gate. I’ll be watching through the mindlink.” Arwen stood slightly behind them, her expression half-guarded, body stiff as if weighing unspoken thoughts. She observed the siblings’ exchange in silence.
