Arwen stood frozen in the middle of the room. Her breath was ragged, and her heart was pounding. Something hitting the glass still rang in her ears, making the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. "Calm down, Arwen, maybe it's just a twig," she tried to convince herself, even though she knew it was a lie. She approached slowly. Her fingers trembled as she reached for the curtain. Sret. The curtain parted. Her eyes could only see thick darkness outside. For a moment, there was nothing, only trees swaying in the wind. She breathed a sigh of relief. However, suddenly... A pair of faintly glowing eyes pierced the darkness. Bright, sharp, and cold, they stared straight at her. Arwen staggered backwards. Her breathing quickened, and her heartbeat began to slow down, racing again.
