Time meant nothing. It did not exist. As I stood where it all began. Had this truly happened to me? Had I truly been so weak, so pathetic? A vision of myself played out before my eyes, as though by simply reaching out, I would have the ability to touch her. That naive girl, who I so recently was, drowning in mud and pain. My body thrummed, my power seeping from me with every step, tarnishing every unprepared molecule, each to contain the tiny residual fragments of me.
