First kiss

I wiggled my toes and fingers, blinking I could feel my eyes clear up.

Marcus was holding my hand and stroking my thigh. Kiss hand felt like it was burning a whole in my jean.

“Marcus, is..is that your name?”

“Yes baby, and yours is Rose”

“How do you know my name, did Rye tell you?

“No” he held up my ID card from my lanyard. He smiled and dropped it.

“I saw it on your ID, who is rye?” His eyes brighten and flashed from Hazel to blue.

“She’s.. shes no one” I lied, I felt I had to protect her from him.

“I am Maswalla, Marcus’s De.. inner .. “ I interrupted

“Demon..” my eyes felt foggy again and I heard Rye’s voice

“Let me front and meet my mate Rose, you’ll be able to hear and see. Relax and let me take over”

I nodded and felt my eyes clear, I could see Marcus blue eyes widen, I didn’t understand but then I heard her

“Maswalla, I am Rye, Rose’s Demon. You will not lay hand on her, she is mine and not ready for you yet.”

“Rye.. my Queen, my Goddess and my mate. That’s no proper way to greet me.”

“Maswalla, I am warning you to stay back and allow Rose to adjust. I will meet you when the time is right. It seems you have marked my Rose without consent. I can feel her fear, when she speaks to both of you. Non-consensual marking is punishable.”

I can feel my eyes, narrow and a sense of anger rise in my belly- rye is a bad b***h, nothing I’ll ever be.

*whoosh*

“Rose don’t think things like that, we are one. Mine and your thoughts are always together, I’ll be returning to you.”

I blink and Marcus eyes go back to normal.

“Marcus, Rye is my demon and I think she had met yours.”

My head is spinning with this new information, I can barley sit up and look at this man in front of me.

“Can we leave this room? I won’t run, but I need some water or .. an..”

My vision goes black and I can feel my body falling.
