Kellan led Elena deeper into the woods, the sounds of birds and rustling leaves enveloping them in a tranquil embrace. The sunlight filtered through the canopy, creating a mosaic of light and shadow that danced at their feet. With each step, Elena found herself more enthralled not just by the scenery, but by Kellan himself—his quiet confidence, the way he moved with an innate grace, as if the forest was an extension of himself. “Where are we going?” she asked, curiosity bubbling within her. “To a place few humans have seen,” he replied, glancing back at her with a mischievous twinkle in his eye. “It’s a hidden grove where the magic of Silverwood is most vibrant.” Elena’s heart raced at the thought. Could there really be magic here? She had always believed in the beauty of nature, but now, with Kellan by her side, she felt a connection that transcended the ordinary. After a short trek through the trees, they emerged into a small clearing. The grove was breathtaking—a circular area surrounded by ancient oaks, their trunks gnarled and thick with age. At its center stood a crystalline pond, its waters shimmering under the dappled sunlight. Wildflowers bloomed around it, vibrant splashes of color against the rich green backdrop. “Wow,” Elena breathed, stepping closer to the water's edge. She knelt down, peering into the pond's depths. “It’s beautiful.” “There’s a legend about this place,” Kellan said, his deep voice pulling her attention away from the water. “They say that when the moon is full, the spirits of the forest gather here to dance.” She looked up at him, mesmerized. “Spirits? You mean... like, actual spirits? Like from the stories?” Kellan chuckled softly. “In a way, yes. There’s a connection between our kind and this land. The forest is alive, Elena. It remembers everything.” “Everything?” she echoed, raising an eyebrow. “What do you mean?” His gaze turned serious, and he stepped closer, his presence both comforting and intimidating. “There are forces at play in Silverwood—ancient and powerful.
