I woke up groggy and unsure if I even slept. My body feels heavy, like it's still caught between dreams and reality. I'm trying to open my eyes but I felt something slick, wet, and warm against my neck. As consciousness slowly crept in, I realized it was Luther's lips trailing soft kisses along my skin.
My eyes flew open, heart racing. Luther was hovering over me, his dark eyes intense and focused. His lips curved into a smirk as he noticed I was awake.
"Good morning, little wolf," he murmured against my neck, his breath hot on my skin.
I tried to push him away, but my limbs felt like lead. "What are you doing?" I managed to croak out, my voice still thick with sleep.
Luther chuckled, the sound low and dangerous. "Claiming what's mine," he whispered, nipping gently at my earlobe.
