Vincent's POV After my spat with Luca this afternoon, I am glad that it is only Renzo and I attending the meeting of the families. Luca was adamant that Chiara is trouble, accusing her of making me weak. Stubbornness was his downfall, and I realised he had fossilised in the fighting, unable to free himself and take a chance on peace. He wasn’t foolish enough to insult her, but his opinions were blatantly written on his face, and I didn’t like it. Renzo had rushed in, asking if he had to donate blood tomorrow, and that was when Luca switched to Italian rambling about the doom of us all. He shouted out the arrangements for the meeting, and then left us to our own devices. Despite my irritation at meeting at our seedier establishment, I could see how Luca thought it would be a good idea.
