I climb the ladder leading the treehouse, a book between my lips. Uncle Theo and his family are visiting, so the house is full, and I haven’t had a minute to read my Nancy drew mysteries. Mainly with Colin, who follows me around. You would think a high school boy has better things to do. Like play video games or go to the skate park, you know things you see teen boys do in movies.
It’s not that I hate him. He can be fun, and he always brings me cookies when he comes over. But he’s really clingy and won’t leave me alone for a second. He’s so different from Cole, who avoids me and never speaks to me. I thought he hated me, but mom says he’s just shy. Well, at least he’s not clingy. I had to sneak away just now to get time to read.
