  “You will?” my eyes light up at the prospects of new books.   “Hm. I’ll buy you all the Nancy drew books. “   “I already have all of them.”   “Okay, well, you can pick something,” Mom says as she strokes my cheek.   “Sweet!” They both smile and kiss before leaving my room. I collapse on my bed, happy that I won’t ever have to see Collin again. I wish I could help Cole, but I don’t know how to help him. Maybe he can live with us. I doze off peacefully, thinking of a way to save Cole and also what I’ll buy at the bookstore tomorrow.
