Chapter Twenty Two
Something about the way he was looking at me was eerie. I did not know if I should trust my intuition and just head a different direction or if I should just continue with this mission. I never signed up for this. I never wanted to be here this late, but here I stand, without much else to do but carry on with the transaction.
"Do you have what I want?" his voice is slightly croaky, very different compared to what I was expecting. Then again, I am not even sure what I was really expecting from him.
