Chapter Sixteen
My hand was trembling as I extended it forward, reaching for the door. There was a bell that I could ring, but I was being a pathetic i***t like Gino said I would be and opting to knock.
My heart was beating straight out of my chest as I heard footsteps approaching the door. This was it. This was the moment I had been dreading all day
"Just let yourself in." his voice was intensely deep, yet so smooth. Words seemed to come very easy to him and I was just a shark, nervous mess.
I opened the door, taking my fair amount of time to ease my nerves, regardless of how pointless it was.
