Over the forty-minute drive to Johnson City, Logan watched Athena transform. With every mile closer, she became more resolute, and the fingers holding the pie in her lap tightened. She didn’t seem to want to talk, and that was fine. He understood this was a huge deal for her, for them. With no clue how it would go, he wanted to do whatever he could to ease things for her.
