Neither fire nor it's smoke can be hidden.mark woke up in the morning feeling exhausted.the sun was streaming through his window into the house.life had thought him terrible lessons he would never forget.he had five children Three males and two females . Mark was the last child.they had all gone back to the mother earth except Hakeem

Gift and Emmanuella were the female children. Frank, peter and Hakeem we're the male children.both sisters went to the village river to fetch water with their gallons one evening.as they got there, gift went to the different side of the river to fetch water.

Emmanuelle's feet slipped into the river as she wanted to fetch water.unfortunately the gallon had gone beyond her reach on the river before she stood up.gift jumped into the water , swimming as fast as she could to recover her gallon but she encountered swirling body of water which carried her away.

Gift had filled her gallon with water she came out to the place she left Emmanuelle .she dropped her gallon on the ground as she didn't see chinasa who ought to be there waiting for her.

Has emmanuella gone home without waiting for me?, gift asked softly looking around.misfortune comes in by the door that is left open for it.she raised alarm as she saw her sister who was unable to shout for help battling with swirling water.

Gift could not endure the pain of losing her sister.she jumped into the river to rescue her but was attacked by a giant crocodile.ifeoma tried to escape from the attack but no one engages a fish in a swimming competition.the crocodile fiercely pierced it's long teeth into gift's neck and killed her.

A fisherman was in the river but was armless gift shouted for help but couldn't save the situation.he stood and watched the crocodile eat her up.emmanuella was drowned and her remains sank in the deepest portion of the river. Mark waited for long and couldn't find his daughters and later found out that two of them was dead he felt sad .

The death of frank and Peter almost sent Mark to the grave if not the people's that came to resuscitate him.frank and Peter were going to the farm when they saw a Hunter stealing an antelope from someone's trap.

The cool calm and collected young brothers walked pass him without a word.but the hunter felt that they would report him to their village king .hour later the hunter traced them to their farm and pretended to have lost his way.

Good children are products of good parents.the hunter flattered them .you have done so much this morning.

Frank recognize the hunter but Wonder why he had chosen to visit they.peter came out from his portion on hearing the hunters voice.and the hunter deceive them and got them killed. Mark was in big pain because he lost his four kids and ikenna was the survival among the five children. And he Hakeem was not happy.
