When we got back to the main hall where the event was happening, Cameron approached me immediately.
“Did you lose your way to the washroom, Aims?” He asked, grabbing my arm lightly. “I thought you already ditched me here. Liam was also looking for you.”
He is? Oh.
“I don’t have any plans on leaving you here, silly. Something just happened so…”
I chose not to tell Cameron what happened back in the washroom just yet. I would tell him some time once we were with Kelly.
“Have you two seen each other already?” Cameron asked and I was a bit confused about who he was referring to until he leaned down to whisper into my ear. “He was really not happy about you being my date, but he’s glad that at least you’re here.”
“Where is he?”
Cameron shrugged. “Maybe he’s already back there.”
