We arrived at the restaurant where Cameron made a reservation for four. It was originally for the three of us and Sean from college but it became a reservation for five because Liam decided to join us.
“So where is this friend of yours, Cameron? Is he on his way?” Liam asked as soon as we were seated at our table.
Cameron nodded. “He just texted me that he’s almost here.”
“Are you close to him?” Liam asked a follow-up question to Cameron.
“You could say that. We’re in the same classes for a few subjects. He’s just here to visit. But it makes me think that he only invited all three of us so he could see Amy right here.” Cameron nodded in my direction.
I glowered at him. “Very funny, Cameron.”
“Old lover of yours?” Liam asked, his face turned a bit serious.
