After that conversation, we immediately went back to the event hall but I had to let Liam go back first before I followed after a few minutes so we wouldn’t be that obvious.
Cameron spotted me instantly and he was giving me a suspicious look as I sat down at the table beside him.
“What’s with that look?” I asked him, one eyebrow raised.
“Hmm…” He pursed his lips, looking in Liam’s direction, who was now busy talking to some of the guests.
Cameron turned his attention back to me and leaned in to whisper. “You two were just out there together, huh?”
I shrugged nonchalantly. “We just talked.”
“I bet you did.” There was evident malice in his voice.
I gaped at him. “Wow, you’ve really adapted to Kelly’s nosiness.”
