“Hello Mate, my name is Damien. I am the Alpha of the Silver Moon pack. I see you’ve met my Beta.”

“I- uh” I can’t speak. His presence alone is both intimidating and comforting.

“It’s alright darling, you need not worry about introductions right now. I want you to rest and to heal.” He says in a soft voice.

“Sir, can I speak with you?” The doctor says, gesturing out to the hallway.

“I’ll be right back, Adrian please keep her company” with that, Damien follows the doctor into the hall. Even with the door shut, I can still hear what they are saying.

“She has many improperly healed breaks, internal bleeding, scars and bruises. Even with her wolf healing, she will need a lot of time to fully heal.”

“Those rotten little- okay, what can I do to help?” Damien asks, silently planning revenge on that terrible so called pack.

“Well, I’ve given her a pain suppressor so now all that can be done is to make sure she’s comfortable and not over exerting herself.”

Damien slowly walks back in the room, his face softening the moment he looks into my eyes. My face flushes and I look away. As I peek back over, I notice how his shirt clings to his chest to the point it looks as though it will shred right there. It feels like a fire is lighting inside my lower abdomen, I’ve never felt anything like this before. It burns, but doesn’t hurt. Suddenly Damien tenses up in front of me and his eyes go dark. I cower, thinking I’ve done something wrong.

“Darling, you should try to tame those dirty thoughts you’re having.” I blush again. How did he know?

“Because he can smell it you buffoon”

Well that’s rude, Lisabeth.

“If you don’t curb those thoughts, there won’t be much healing going on”

Okay fine.

“I’m sorry” I say but it comes out as barely a whisper.

“No need to be sorry dear, I just think it would be best if you healed rather than being ravaged” he says with a laugh. Damien begins walking toward me, a hand outstretched and I cower into a ball whimpering. “Hey hey, I’m not going to hurt you, I just want to properly introduce myself.” I reach out to his hand. “What’s your name?” I pause for a moment to long and he chuckles, “I can’t just call you Mate now can I?”

“M-my name is Jazmyn” I say with a stutter, looking up at him through my lashes. He’s looking at me with those piercing green eyes.

“Your eyes are so mesmerizing, Jazmyn” he coos. I blush yet again and look away. “I have a car ready outside, as soon as you feel up to it, I’d like for you to come with Adrian and I back up our pack” I’m stunned. Me? Join his pack? This has to be a dream. There’s no way he wants me to join him. Well, if it’s a dream then I may as well go with it before I wake up.

“Okay” I say, “I’m ready.” Damien reaches above me, grabs a bag and hands it to me.

“Please get dressed then” he looks at Adrian who nods and walks out. I slowly start to stand wincing at the pain in my ankle. Hm maybe it’s not a dream. Damien grabs my arm to steady me and I flinch away. He removes his hand from my arm and gives me a solemn look.

Damien’s POV:

She flinched, again. Those assholes are going to pay for doing this to her

“Breathe Damien. You don’t want to scare her more” my wolf Drew scolds me.

I know but how could they do this to someone so beautiful?

“Monsters will do anything to make someone feel small”

He’s right. I hate when he’s right. Just then Jazmyn begins removing the clinic gown. I see her standing in nothing but her bra and panties, curves like a winding road, a cute little tummy, skin as pale as the snow but covered in bruises. The fresh purple ones from the attack I witnessed and some that were fading to green. I notice a long silver scar that starts underneath her collarbone and tracks down to her hip. She’s so beautiful. My Mate is a gift from the Moon Goddess herself. Jazmyn brings the gown in front of herself, I stared too long. I turn away to give her privacy, yet I can still hear her whimper. After she’s dressed and the Doctor clears her, we set out to my car, ready for the drive to her new home. Mother and Father will be so happy to know I’ve found my Mate, My Luna.
