Winslow was still glued to his phone, fingers flying across the screen, barely registering what she had just said. He glanced up for half a second, as if doing her a favor. "Huh? What did you say?" Eleanor gave a bitter smile, shook her head, quietly gathered the signed papers, tucked them under her arm, and walked out without another word. His voice trailed after her from the doorway.
