~Sandra’s pov~ “You heard me sister in law, I want to f**k you for one night.” My hand flew out instinctively to slap him again, but Ryan's reflexes were lightning fast. His dark fingers wrapped around my wrist in mid-air, stopping my hand inches from his face. He held me firm, a slow, predatory smirk spreading across his lips. "Careful, sister-in-law," he whispered, his grip tight but not painful. "You already got one free hit tonight, let's not push your luck." I yanked my hand back with all my strength. He let me go, but the smirk never left his face. Rage pulsed through my veins, hot and bitter. "You're disgusting!" I hissed, my voice shaking with raw indignance. "You sit here and act like you're better than Liam, but you're doing the exact same thing! You're no better than him! You're just a parasite using my desperation for your own sick gratification!" Ryan didn't flinch. He didn't raise his voice or lose his temper. He simply leaned back against the dark leather booth, picked up his glass, and took a slow sip. He looked completely unfazed, nonchalant, and infuriatingly smug.. like a man who knew he held every single card in the deck. "I never said I was noble or even a gentleman, Sandra," he said smoothly, his dark eyes locking onto mine. "Unlike your dear husband, I don't pretend to be a saint. I don't wear the mask of a loving partner while stabbing you in the back." He set his glass down and leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table, closing the distance between us until I could smell the scent of his expensive cologne. "Let's talk about reality," he said, his voice dropping to a low, icy murmur. "Without my help, what do you have? Nothing. You walk out that door right now, you try to divorce him on your own, and Liam’s lawyers will strip you bare. You’ll leave with nothing while Liam keeps living in luxury, spending his trust fund on Priya and every other woman he decides to take to bed. Is that what you want?" His words hit me like a slap to the face but the harsh truth burned far worse than his proposal. I gripped the edge of the table until my knuckles turned white. "Why me, Ryan?" I demanded, my voice tight with emotion. "You've barely said ten words to me in two years. You always looked at me like I was invisible or annoying. I thought you didn't even like me, so why would you even want to touch me?" I demanded with a frown of confusion. Ryan’s eyes slowly trailed down my face. They lingered on my mouth before moving down the length of my neck, dropping lower to the cut of the thin dress clinging to my chest. The heat of his gaze felt almost heavy on my skin. "I never hated you, Sandra," Ryan said softly, a dark edge in his voice. "I just hated the fake performance you were playing. I hated watching you play the quiet, obedient, perfect little wife to a man who didn't give a damn about you." He tilted his head, his smirk returning, darker and far more dangerous this time. "Everyone thinks you're this sweet, harmless, innocent girl. But I’ve been watching you from afar for a long time. I saw the way you looked when you thought no one was paying attention. Underneath that good-girl image, there is a fierce she-devil waiting to break out. And tonight? Seeing you in this dress, standing up to me... I want a taste of that fire." My breath hitched in my throat. A sudden shock ran through my chest, followed by a dark, terrifying thrill. He had seen me. Really seen me, when my own husband hadn't bothered to look at me for years. "Besides," Ryan added, his tone growing colder and more practical, "I need payment for my work. I'm putting myself at risk to dig up dirt that will destroy Liam. And my brother is an arrogant asshole who deserves every single bad thing coming his way." Looking into his dark, ruthless eyes, the full truth hit me. Ryan hated his stepbrother with a passion that went back years. This wasn't just about physical desire. Ryan wanted to use me as the ultimate weapon to crush Liam's pride and tear his life to pieces. A cold, sharp clarity settled over my mind. I was trapped, yes, but I refused to be a victim any longer. I was done being used by men. If Ryan wanted to play this dangerous game, then I was going to dictate the rules. I sat up straight, wiping every trace of shock and tears from my face. I forced my shoulders back, letting my expression harden into pure steel. "If we do this," I said, my voice dropping into a razor-sharp tone, "it is a transaction. A business deal. And I set the terms." Ryan raised an eyebrow, genuinely caught off guard by the sudden shift in my posture. "Is that so?" "Yes," I declared, leaning across the table, looking him dead in the eye. "Rule number one: You hand over the initial files, the dates, and the full proof of Liam's affairs before anything happens between us. No evidence, no deal." Ryan’s smug smile faded slightly, his eyes sharpening as he listened. "Rule number two," I continued without taking a breath. "Absolute secrecy. You do not brag about this. You do not drop hints to Liam. You do not say a single word to anyone until my legal trap is set and ready to destroy him. If you blow my cover just to satisfy your own pride, the deal is dead." "And rule number three?" Ryan asked softly, his voice heavy with tension. "Rule number three," I said, making sure my voice didn't tremble. "One night only. One night, and it is completely over. No strings. No repeat performances. And absolutely no romantic expectations. When the sun comes up tomorrow, we go back to being strangers who happen to share a last name. Do you understand me?" For a long moment, absolute silence fell over the booth. The loud music from the club thrummed around us, but between the two of us, the air felt thick enough to suffocate. Ryan stared at me, visibly shocked by my steeliness. The predatory amusement in his eyes melted away, replaced by an intense, burning intrigue. He had expected a broken, crying woman he could easily push around. Instead, he was looking at a woman who had just turned a trap into a ruthless negotiation. A slow, genuine smile spread across his face, not a mocking smirk, but something far deeper and more dangerous. "Deal," Ryan said, his deep voice carrying an unmistakable weight. He reached his broad hand out across the table. "You drive a hard bargain, sister-in-law." I looked at his large hand, took a quiet breath, and placed my hand in his. His grip was warm, strong, and sent a sudden spark straight up my arm. As soon as he accepted, his eyes slowly trailed down my body once again. He took in the curve of my waist, the bare skin of my legs, and the thin fabric of the dress I was wearing. The raw intensity in his gaze made my skin tingle hot and cold all at once. Underneath the thin fabric of my dress, my n*****s hardened instantly, reacting to the heavy s****l tension crackling in the air. My heart began to hammer against my ribs like a trapped bird. I stared back into his dark, victorious eyes, my stomach twisting into nervous knots as panic suddenly rushed over me. What the hell have I just agreed to?
