Julia was worried. They had gone through all the possible scenarios of what might go wrong. The self-driving car could break down, and the technicians not allowing Julia or the Robot to leave. A self-deactivate or even self-destruct button that they did not know about. That Robot would not be able to deactivate the remote access in time. Every option needed a backup scenario that they had walked through and practiced.
They also knew it was a considerable risk. Julia could only practice virtually, as Robot was still just a simulation. They did not even know if they would successfully transition from a virtual bot to a physical robot. Their only motivation for trying was that they had no choice. There were no other options.
