Nathan’s POV.
Aiden and I arrived at the auditorium just minutes before our professor walked in. Like always we decided to sit in the very back, so that we had the opportunity observe some of the students. The city was in the center of the pack territory which made a majority of the student’s werewolves like me. Not many humans came to these parts. I was surprised to sense that one more human student had arrived, well I did not recognize her so at least I supposed she was new. I knew most of the attendees at the university, heck I knew almost the entire town because of my status.
“You told me some of your preferences yesterday and found a couple of girls who fit your description, look at these pictures” Aiden had printed a bunch of pages that he handed over. Each page had a different girl, picture, and description GPA and so on.
“Good job” I told him and started looking through them all.
“But they are all wolves which means that they are strong enough to fight back, I don’t think I want that” I told him when I finished reading the last page.
“Well, there are not many humans in this town, but I can take a look” he took out his phone and started typing.
Occasionally I could see that the girl I front of us turned her head a bit, looking at us small glimpses at a time.
“Maybe we should turn down our voices a bit, we don’t want anyone to hear us discussing this matter” I whispered to Aiden. He nodded in understanding.
…
After the class we had a free period. We decided to continue the conversation in the more isolated part of the cafeteria, most student would be busy in the classrooms or the library at this time. While sitting down we were met by Lucas, Jason and Kody whom Aiden and I had known since childhood, we were very close.
“So, what are you two up to” Jason started, while taking a seat.
“Probably stalking girls again” Kody grinned.
“You told them?” I looked at Aiden, who did not look bothered at all by this.
“Yes, he told us, an we want to help, a hundred days, are not very long to find a girl and complete the mating process, even more if the girl is not a werewolf by birth” Lucas joined the conversation.
True enough, the mating process would take up to a week longer if the girl was not a werewolf. During the process she would be bitten resulting in her becoming stronger. If a werewolf mated with an alpha her powers would be stronger than most, a human would not become a werewolf but be slightly stronger than the average human. The increase in strength would have to be completed before the mating bond is sealed.
We all walked to the next class together, taking once again the last row of chairs.
The girl from earlier walked in and sat by herself again.
“Does any of you know that girl?” I asked the guys. All of them shaking their head no.
“Is she a candidate?” Aiden asked?
“Well, if no one knows who she is, maybe we should think about changing that?” Lucas said only loud enough for us to hear it.
“It doesn’t hurt” Kody answered
Lucas raised himself from his chair and made his way to the girl.
From afar I could hear him asking her for permission to sit next to her which she granted him.
During the lesson Lucas talked to me through the mind link telling little things about her, how focused she was about the lesson, her being a transfer student who just arrived and then the compliments of her beautiful facial features.
“A worthy candidate I think” Lucas said in the mind link so us four at the back row could listen in.
…
The rest of the day went by slow; we did not have any more classes with the girl, because of most the city is werewolf we have to learn about different pack business, a class dedicated for us. The human students would probably have a free period by now.
On the way to my car, I saw her again. She was talking on the phone beside what must be her car. I continued towards the car getting in the driver’s seat. Finally, she was in real light so I could watch her properly. She had an average height, hair blond hair tamed in a bun on her head, high cheekbones, beautiful eyes, she was not chubby nor too skinny, a nice figure. On the outside she was perfect.
“Get someone to keep an eye on her” I told Aiden. He looked at me, then her and nodded.
“On it” was his simple reply.
After the reply I looked at her a bit more, and the decided to drive home. Driving up to the pack house, Aiden spoke up.
“Tony is looking after her for now and mike will take the next shift”
The two of them were the best wolves we had for monitoring different subjects.
“Good don’t let them take their eyes off of her” I responded.
My intentions was not to have her stalked all the time, only till I had been talking to her myself and decided if she is going to be my mate or not. Her looks were a great start I must say.
