My heart raced as Keanu's footsteps approached the study.
If he hadn't told me anything about Maura, it was because he thought it was none of my business. And now I had invaded his privacy.
It took me a couple of seconds to find the gap in the bookshelf. I shoved the picture frame in just as the study door pushed open. Keanu entered, still magnificently naked.
"You disappeared on me." His gaze settled on me. "What are you doing here?"
"Uh, I..." I swallowed, forcing a smile. "I just came down to get some coffee and thought I would check out your home office since I've never seen it. I hope you don't mind."
