Emma Spencer. “Dad, why is my wolf asleep?” It’s a question I can’t help but ask. I watch as my father sighs as he says, “I knew this conversation would come at some point.” That phrase makes me very nervous. Parker, sensing how I feel, sits next to me, holding my hand. He draws circles with his thumb, sending those delicious sparks throughout my body. I close my eyes, focusing on the sensation. Somehow, I hear him in my head saying, “I know you said you didn’t want physical contact, but you need us, just like we need you. Let me help you babe, because I know these calms you down.” I close my eyes and nod in silence. He tells me, “Just focus on the sparks.
