Day off

1064 Words
Lamar pov We all wake up actually really early. Nobody had much sleep. Well, except for Isaac who felt asleep on the floor after just a few minutes. Around 3 am the lights went back on and the girls went back to their own room. They shouldn't have been there a minute longer, because Isaac started to talk in his sleep. Something again over Eldon and Victoria and himself and I don't even want to know where he was dreaming about, or it was maybe more a nightmare. And that's how Trevor and I were forced to tell Myles about Victoria and Isaac. Maybe we haven't told Isaac that Myles knows. Moving on, we're sitting now all 8 in the hotel restaurant eating breakfast. Surprisingly there aren't many people, considering to the amount of hotel rooms and how 'full booked' the hotel was. I think Brittany and Victoria planned their day to the minute and are now discussing it all. "So," I start and look to all the boys, "we take the subway at ...." "Wait wait wait," Myles cuts me off, "where are we going." "We don't know yet," says Trevor. "Since we knows where the subway is," says Isaac, "we just thought about just going with the subway." "To where?" Myles asks. "That's the whole point," I say, "we don't know yet but we'll just see." "Okay," Myles says clearly, "I'm not going to take the risk of being lost in the city with you guys." "What's wrong with that?" Isaac. "No no no man," says Trevor, "we won't get lost." "I'm not going to do it," Myles says shaking his head a little. "So what are you going to do then," Isaac asks. "I don't know," Myles says lifting his shoulders up and down. "You can come with us," Jordan says then cheerful. "Who's us?" he ask. "Briar and I," Jordan says. "Okay no," Myles says, "I'm not going to shop." "We're not going to shop," says Briar. "We're going to sniff some culture," Jordan says and smiles. (A/N: Is sniffing culture something? I know in my own language, Dutch, 'cultuur opsnuiven' (literally translated sniffing culture) is something. Maybe this just doesn't make any sense just like 'unfortunately peanut butter'. Then, sorry.) "Maybe," Myles says. "Seriously man," I say, "do you prefer spending the whole day with them than spending the whole day with us??" "One," Myles says putting one finger up, "I said maybe. Two," he says putting a second finger up, "I prefer it over getting lost in the city. And three," he says putting a third finger up, yes I actually do." "So you're coming with us?" Jordan asks, "cool!" I nod. "Weird," I say. Victoria stands up. "Good luck with arguing about it," she says, "but we're going." "Go for it," says Trevor. "Thank you very much," Brittany says. "And don't forget about what I said yesterday," Trevor says with a serious tone. Brittany mocks Trevor and I'm just trying to think about something Trevor could've said. "Go Trittany," Victoria says putting her fists in the air. "Shut up," Trevor says, "it counts for you too." Victoria looks questioning. "I'll explain later," says Brittany pulling Victoria with her away from the table. I'm actually really curious where that was about, but I think it has something to do with shopping. Well, I'm actually pretty sure about that since Brittany putted on that face. "And then there were 6," Briar says. "3," I say and stand up, "I want to take the subway in 5 minutes." "You sure you're not coming?" Isaac asks Myles. "Totally," he say, "have fun getting lost without me." "We will," I say. "Don't even worry about it," says Trevor and then we also walk away. Myles pov As we're sure they're all away I give Jordan a high five. "Perfectly," she says, "I told you it would work." "I wasn't so sure," says Briar, "but it was flawless." Last evening Briar texted me and told me she told Jordan. She also told me I told Briar I wished I could spent the day with her and then Jordan came up with this plan. It couldn't have worked without Jordan. "So," says Jordan, "where and how late will we meet at the end of the day?" "What do you mean?" I say. "You're not going to bail right?" Briar asks kind of disappointed. "I thought you two just wanted to spent the day alone," Jordan says. "No way," Briar says. "Sure?" Jordan asks. "Yea," I say, "of course." Jordan smiles, "nice, so lets go." We take the subway to a suburb at the border of the city. It's so nice to have a whole day off. Not just a day off from dance, but it also feels like a whole day off from the cast. Of course I love every single one of them, and they all feel like my family, but a day off sometimes is amazing. And it's even more amazing that I can spent the day with Briar. Of cours Jordan is there too, but come on it's Jordan, you just can't be bothered by Jordan being there. As we sit in the subway and I don't see anybody who can possible know us I grab Briar hand. She looks at me and smiles while our fingers intertwine between us. As we come above the ground again we see a huge tower on top of the hill. "Are we going up there?" I ask. "Yea," says Jordan. "You're kidding right?" I ask. "Not really," Briar says, "come on, you'll survive it." That was amazing. Walking to many stairs in the burning sun to reach the top, but it was worth it. From here we can see the whole city. All the traffic, all the people, all the buildings. "It looks amazing," I say. "I know right," Briar says. "Okay," says Jordan then, "time for some pictures, give me your phone." I give my phone to Jordan and stand besides Briar. "No no no," says Jordan then before she takes the photo, "I'm the only one here, nobody is going to see you." She doesn't have to say that twice. I wrap both arms around Briar giving her a hug while her head is on my chest both looking side wards to Jordan. "That's better," she says smiling and takes a picture.
