Lost child

Victoria pov Brittany and I are sitting on a terrace. I couldn't have wished for a better thing to spend my day off. It's cold, but the sun is shining. I lean back in my chair and close my eyes. "What time is it?" I ask after a while but Brittany doesn't react. I open my eyes and look at Brittany who stares to something behind me. "Hello," I say waving in front of here, "what's up?" "Turn around," says Brittany, "d'you see that girl?" I turn around and see a little girl sitting crying on the street. "She sits there for several minutes now, people look, but nobody asks her something," Brittany says. "So lets go then," I say standing up. "What?" Brittany asks not moving. "Looking if she's alright," I say. I grab my back and walk to the little girl. I hear Brittany coming behind me. "Hi little girl," I say with a sweet voice when we come closer. She looks scared up and Brittany and I go through our knees, "what's your name?" "Emma," she says just hard enough to hear it. "Hi Emma," Brittany says then and smile, "I'm Brittany and this is Victoria," she points at me and I smile too, "where are your mom and dad?" The little girl shrugs. "Are you here all alone sweetie?" I say and she nods. Brittany stands up and looks around. Dozens of people walk by every second, how are we gonna find her parents? "Can you tell me what happened?" I ask her. "I was shopping with my mom," she says softly, "and then I lost her, I looked outside and saw her, I ran to her, but then it wasn't my mom." She starts to cry again. Brittany goes through her knees again. "Do you know which store?" she asks. "The one with the big colored bench around a tree in front of it," Emma says with a shaking voice. "One more thing," Brittany says, "what's your last name?" "McGrann," she says. "Thank you," Brittany says smiling and stands up. "Stay here," she says to me, "I'm going to that store seeing if I can find her mom. I sit down besides the girl as she slowly calms down. "How old are you," I ask her. "Five," she says. "I'm 18," I say. "Are you gonna find my mom?" she asks quietly. "Of course," I say, "we're not giving up until we found her." "Thank you," she says. "No problem," I say and smile. Within a few minutes Brittany is back. "Mother is nowhere to be found," Brittany says and looks worried. "Emma," I ask, "do you know where you live?" She shakes her head. Great. "And what now?" I ask and look at Brittany. "I don't know," Brittany says. Trevor pov "And what now?" Isaac asks. "I don't know," Lamar says. "It will be alright," I say. "Yea yea," mocks Lamar, "don't even worry about it." "I'll tell you something," Isaac says irritated, "this is not just going to be alright." "You know," Lamar says, "I'm not the one to worry normal, but now I'm worried." We just got kicked out the subway. Maybe I forgot our backpack, and maybe we just had one backpack. And maybe all phones, wallets, literally everything was in it. So here are we know, we don't know where we are, we have no money, no phones, no subway ticket, nothing. "Okay chill man," I say and turn around. "Excuse me," I approach a passer-by, "can you tell me where I am?" The man babbles a street name. "Thank you," I say and turning back to the guys. "So that's where we are," I say. "And where is that?" Lamar asks. "One thing at the time," I say putting my hands defensive in the air. "Then there's just one solution," Isaac says, "walking." "NO WAY," Lamar and I say at the same time. "We were in that subway for like 30 minutes," I say. "Which way do we even have to go," Lamar says. "I saw the adres of the hotel, something with main," Isaac says. "Yea," I say sarcastic, "because that's not a common street name, so now we're gonna find it." "Well I know at least something," Isaac says, "can't say that of you." "Guys guys," Lamar tries, "don't fight." "This isn't a fight," Isaac says. "No," I say, "this is a very adult-ish argument between two very adult-ish adults." "Interesting," Lamar says, "lets just start walking." Lamar starts walking. "How do you know which way it is?" I ask. "That's the way we came from with the subway," he yells as he just continues walking on a, lets say not exactly slow pace. "You sure?" Isaac asks, but Lamar doesn't here it anymore and Isaac and I just follow him. After a time which feels like 40 hours, but is more like 20 minutes walking the way Lamar thought we should walk, we walk through a little forest and reach a river. Behind the river is just grass, nothing more than stupid green grass. "Eh guys," Isaac says, "I don't think this was the right way." "You think?" I say sarcastic. "Okay," says Lamar, "lets then just walk back." "Seriously?" I say, "I'm hungry, I'm thirsty and I'm sure I've like three thousand blisters on my feet." "Hmm," Lamar says, "let me think for a second, who forgot the back? Oh yea, that's right it was you." "I'm not the one that got us lost," I say. Isaac starts to laugh. "Actually it's the fault of that guy that kicked us out," he says, "if he just came after 5 minutes there wouldn't be a problem." "Guess we're not that lucky," I say sitting down on the ground. Isaac and Lamar sit also down and for a while we're silent. "Is this the end?" Isaac asks and Lamar and I start to laugh. "Yea," I say, "we'll never get back and we'll just die, even tho I'm pretty sure we just walked through a whole neighborhood." "Bro," says Lamar jumping up, "that's it, we just go ask something if they know where the theater is." "Eh guys," Isaac say, "does anyone know which way we came from?" I look around. Into the forest are like 5 paths. Great, we're even more lost than before. "You know," Lamar says, "maybe this will just be the end." "I won't be ridiculous," I say, "but I think you're right." I sigh.
