Lamar pov "Mr. Carter?" I say as Isaac and I walk to the front of thebus, "Who's Mr. Carter?" Isaac asks. "Oh my, it's the driverstupid asshole," I react. Seriously, is he this stupid. "Yearight," Isaac says as he remembers. Well he does like he remembers, I'mpretty sure he actually never knew. I shine with the flashlight of my phone onthe drivers door. I open the door and his arm swings out the door. Isaac let out a littlesqueak and jumps backwards. I walk slowly closer to him and see his headhanging forward. "Oh my gosh," Isaac says, "do you think he's..." "One way to find out," I say, and walk with shaky legs evencloser. I can't believe I'm really doing this. I push forward two fingers tocheck his heartbeat in his neck. I don't feel anything, except for the factthat he feels really cold. I try the other side and try both of his wrist, butI don't feel any heartbeat. Shit, we can totally use this. I step back and look worried at Isaac."He's is dead," I say with a lump in my throat. "Oh mygosh," Isaac says with fear in his voice and although it's dark I can alsosee the fear in his eyes. "You sure," he asks. "100%" Isay, "but I want to go back inside now, before we freeze to death."It's so cold outside and it's snowing like crazy. "What are we gonnado?" Isaac asks. "I don't know," I say, "but we're notgoing to tell right now, it will freak everyone even more out. We'll tell themtomorrow." "Okay," Isaac says, "sounds like the smartest wecan do right now." I silence we walk back to the bus. "They know where we areright?" Isaac asks right before we walk back in, "I mean the peopleback home." "Yea," I say, "there's a tracker in the bus, they can easily track us." "Thank God for the technologynowadays," Isaac says. "I know right," I say. Isaac sighs before he opens the door. "You're okay?" I ask."Good enough," he says and we walk inside. You know, I actually don'tknow if I'm okay, but we'll just see tomorrow when it's light and it hopefullydoesn't snow. "And?" Trevor asks as we walk back in. "He doesn't knowwhat happened," I say, "he's gonna look tomorrow what happened.""Okay," Trevor says. It's dark in the bus and everyone is probablytrying to sleep. I walk in silence to my bunk and try to fall asleep. Jordan pov I realise I'm just not going to sleep around 7. Yesterday was the weirdestday ever. The whole day it felt like someone was wrong and I felt shaky andjust wasn't myself. The weird part of this all, is that it was kind of overafter the accident happened. Like if I somewhere saw it coming. As quiet aspossible I walk to the back lounge. Why can't life just be easy? In the back lounge I find Brittany. "Hi," I say kind ofsurprised I can talk. I haven't said a word since yesterday evening because Iwas too in shock. "Hi," Brittany says, "how're you doing?""Kind of tired," I say. "Yea me too," Brittany says,"sometimes I wish I could just stop thinking. I sit down on the couch in front of Brittany, she doesn't looks like sheslept tonight. "Yea," I say, "it was such a weird feeling I hadyesterday." "Wait," Brittany says, "is it away.""Surprisingly yes it is," I say. "And how are you doing?" I ask probably looking more seriousthan I mean. Brittany sighs deeply. "Can you keep a secret?" sheasks. "I want to say yes," I say, "and even when I say no you'reprobably gonna tell anyways. Yea I can keep a secret, but if someone knows halfthe secret and asks me about it, I'm probably gonna tell it." Brittanylaughs nervously. "Whatever I have to tell someone," she says. "So eh I eh," Brittany starts nervously moving a braceletaround her wrist, "I'm kind of confused about my feelings." "YeaI saw that coming," I say. I think back about the discussion between herand Trevor yesterday, they're kind of lucky nobody else heard, because itdidn't sound very well and friendly. "So do you like him?" I ask. "I guess," Brittanysays. "Sometimes it's just that easy and sometimes you just have to take arisk," I say. Well, of course they will end up together, but I just don'tthink they will right now. "I can't," Brittany says, "I did something stupid.""How stupid can it be?" I ask. It can't be that stupid right? Theguys do stupid things the whole day long, how worse can this only one be? "Was everyone still asleep," Brittany asks worried."100%," I say. "I eh," Brittany starts looking down, "Iam eh." She looks up at me and takes a deep breath, closing her eyes for asingle second. She opens her eyes again and then she says it, quiet so no oneelse can hear it, but hard enough so I can hear it. "I'm pregnant"
