Where are they

1189 Words
Amy pov It all started to be a normal Thursday. Okay I'm lying. It was not a normal Thursday. The cast should've arrived in their next city a few days ago. I got a text from Brittany on the 21st that they we're leaving so they should've arrived the 25th or the 26th. Still no need to worry, because it can be they stopped in a little village along the road because of snow. I expecting to hear something from them today since they've a show tonight. I know there's nothing to worry about, but it still doesn't feel good. Through the day I get multiple messages from parents asking if I heard something, but every time I sadly have to say no. Until around 3 pm. Somewhere around 3 pm I get a call from the theater asking where the cast is. It's time to start calling around. I call all the parents to tell they haven't arrived and call the police after that to give them up as missing. They said they should call all the police stations in all the villages they should've passed to find out where they are. They probably stopped somewhere since there was a huge snowstorm last days. Why didn't I know about that? The rest of the afternoon I'm waiting by the phone. Until I hear the phone after a few hours. "Hello?" I say picking the phone up. "Hi," the man on the other side says, "we've some bad news. We have no idea where they are or where they even can be. Nobody has seen the bus." "What do you mean," I say worried, "how can nobody have seen them?" "They probably took the other road," the man says. "What do you man the other road??" I say confused, "is there another road?" "Eh yea," the man says, "one which goes through all the villages, and one which in a better condition, but it a little longer." "Eh thanks for calling," I say. "Yea," the mean says, "as soon as we know more we'll let you know." "Thank you very much," I say and say goodbye before I hang up. I bury my head in my hands, where the hell are they?? I sit for a while at my dining table until I realize that I've to do something. They're supposed to give shows the next days. I can't just post on social media that they're missing right? I can't stop worrying so I decide to watch tv. Little did I know that the news came on in less then 5 minutes. "And now over to some other news," the news lady on the tv says, "8 cast members of the hit serie The Next Step are missing, they are on a tour through the country and had a 4 day long bus ride. Their journey is right through the area where the snowstorm was last days. Upcoming shows are cancelled for now." The 8 pictures come on the screen. "Have you seen them please let the police know," she says before she goes over to the weather. It still hasn't totally come through. They are missing. They are in the middle of nowhere. What can I do? All I can do is wait for a call from the police. I unlock my phone. Right, I forgot it was not just local news.... My social media is full with questioning fans. Great, well this helps. "I don't know more than you guys, but it's all going to be alright," I post on my social media, I've to get rid of this for right now. I truly believe it shouldn't have gotten out already right now, but then at the same time, they are supposed to give a show tonight. Or fans would find out this way, or via social media. I think I prefer this way. I had plans with friends this evening, but I call it off. I'm not in a really good mood because all of this. Of course I know they're all going to be alright, but I just want to know that they're alright right now. Brittany pov I wake up probably somewhere in the middle of the night. I don't know where I am and I lay amazingly uncomfortable. "Sorry did I wake you up?" Trevor asks. Right, I was sitting on the couch and I fell asleep. Trevor is still reading his book with some kind of windup flashlight. "I don't think so," I say, "but it's even colder than when I fell asleep." "Yea warm is different," Trevor says, "maybe we should go to bed." "Can you imagine how cold our beds are?" I ask him not looking forward to that moment. "So true," he says. "How's it going with you book?" I ask. "Page 271," he says proud. "Wow," I say surprised, "and you didn't already fell asleep?" "It's actually kind of entertaining," he whispers, "don't tell anyone." I giggle. "I'm going to my bed," he says as he closes the book, "can I have the warm blanket?" I shake my head. "I've a better Idea," I say and smile, "do you have some extra space in your bunk." Trevor grins. "For you always," he says. A few minutes later we lay beside each other in Trevor's bunk, trying to get a little warmer but it just doesn't work. "This reminds me of that night you woke me up," he jokes. "Hopefully this time we fall asleep!" I say, "I'm not looking forward to staying awake the whole night." "Last night you fell asleep too," he says. "True," I say, "but it feels like it's even colder tonight." He turns to his side and wraps his arm around me pushing me closer. "Better?" he asks. "Better," I say pressing my head into his chest. It actually feels good being so close to him. Maybe Jordan was right, maybe I was just overthinking myself. We lay in silence for a while. "Brit," he whispers then. "Yes," I whisper back. "Are you going to ignore me again after tonight," he asks and it sounds like he's really worried. I look up to him, not that I can see his face in the darkness. "No," I whisper. "You sure?" he asks. "I promise," I whisper. I giggle. "What?" he whispers. "I want to kiss you," I whisper, "but I've no idea where your face is." All I see is black but I feel his breathing come closer until he's probably just a few centimeters from my face. He lays his hand on my cheek and feels where my lips are. "Found them," he says and leans in to kiss me. I kiss back and our lips are locking for a few seconds until we've to break apart to breathe. We kiss a few times again. "You're getting warmer?" he asks then. "Totally," I say, "why didn't I think of this earlier." "Ouch," he says, "that almost hurt." "No problem," I say burying my head into his chest again. Then when I'm finally a little warm I feel my eyes closing and soon I'm asleep.
