Briar pov
I just showered and I'm laying on my bed in the hotel we're staying for two nights. It was a nice job from Trevor to seriously forget telling it. We were just about to leave the dressing room to go back to the bus when Trevor came in telling about it. So then we all walked to the bus to grab our stuff and headed to the hotel. Isaac and Myles are sharing a room and Lamar and Trevor too. And of course Brittany and Victoria, but that's unnecessarily to tell since Jordan and I are sharing a room. Since the hotel was pretty full booked our rooms are basically all over the hotel. Isaac and Myles have the most central room on the third floor. Lamar and Trevor are on the 4th floor somewhere in an corner, Brittany and Victoria have a room on the first floor and Jordan and I on the 7th floor.
Jordan walks back into the room after she showered and sits down at the edge of her bed. For a while I feel like she just stares to me and when I look up she doesn't stop. "What's up?" I ask.
"I ehh I have to tell you something," Jordan says. "Go for it," I say. "So the week before the tour, when we were having rehearsal for it," she says and I nod that I remember it. "Well," She continues, "Myles and you were practicing your duet in another room and when I walked through the hallway I stayed and watched for a while." Jordan shoves nervously over her bed and my smile disappears, I probably look as red as a tomato. She did not see what I think she saw. How the hell did she even find out? Does she know about Myles and me?
"The duet looked really good," Jordan says then unexpected, "that was probably the best I've ever seen it."
"Thank you," I say relieved with a little smile. This what not what she wanted to say. She saw me, she knows about Myles and me and I don't know if I'm happy about it. Does Jordan cares about Victoria's rule? Does anybody care about that rule?
Jordan grabs her phone and unlocks it.
"What did you really see?" I dare to ask after a while. Jordan sighs. "I don't want to figure it out," she says, "so I'll just wait until you're comfortable talking about it, and then I'll ask you all my questions and you'll just be embarrassed about the fact you're telling me that all." I laugh. "You're crazy," I say, "but I love you." "Love you too," says Jordan and she smiles.
Maybe I should just tell her, maybe it's time for someone to know. And if someone knows, please let it be Jordan. I stare for a while at my phone, just thinking about nothing and everything at the same time. Will Myles be okay with it?
"Jordan," I say after a while and sigh, "this stays between us right?"
"Of course," says Jordan cheerful locking her phone and laying it down besides her.
"I ehh I maybe lied," I say blushing look to my toes. "No way!" Jordan says like she's surprised. I laugh. "Shut up Jordan," I say, "we both know that you know that I like Myles." Jordan smiles. "So I really had it right," she says. "Yea," I say. "So," Jordan says cheerful jumping half up.
"So what?" I ask after a while as I notice Jordan is going to continue. "I want to know everything," says Jordan, "since when? How? Does he like you? Who knows? Did you always like him? Are you going to tell?"
I giggle, "relax, one at the time."
The next at least 20 minutes I'm answering questions and it actually feels good talking about it. Considering literally nobody knew all this time, it feels like a relieve.
"But," Jordan says, "if you're ever gonna make out in the tour bus in the middle of the night again, you may want to be a little quieter." "How do you know?" I ask embarrassed. "Trevor came to me asking if it was me and I think it's his new life goal, finding out who it was," Jordan says and laughs. I laugh too, "boys..."
Jordan jumps up and gives me a hug. "I'm so happy for you!" she says cheerful. "Thank you," I say smiling.
"So what are you going to do tomorrow?" she asks and somewhere I'm also a little relieved this subject is over. Is that weird? "I don't know," I say, "you?" "I was thinking about just walking around in the city and then I'll just see what I see," Jordan says, "Brittany and Victoria are going to shop, but that's not how I want to spent my day." "Can I come with you," I ask. "Of course," Jordan says exciting.
Isaac pov
The boys and I are all hanging out in my and Myles' room. We're just enjoying the fact that we can be really loud. In the bus we have to be quiet at some point because the girls want to sleep. But we just want to go on all night long. We just watched a first movie and we're about to watch the second one when the lights go off and the tv falls out. "Who did that?" Lamar asks. "Not me," I say. "Me neither," says Trevor.
Myles doesn't react, he looks on his phone and I doubt if he even saw it. "Myles," Lamar says. Myles looks up. "Why're the lights off?" he asks. "Don't know," Lamar says. I put the flashlight of my phone on. Trevor does the same and walks to the door. "What are you going to do?" Lamar asks. "See if we're the only ones without light," Trevor says he opens the door and we see one big black hole. "I don't think anyone on this floor has light," he says and closes the door.
I look outside and see some light far far away, seems like we're not the only ones. Myles jumps up. "Is the shower working?" he asks. "Yea," says Lamar, "it's only electric current right?" "Cool," says Myles and he walks to the bathroom." "Are you seriously going to shower?" I ask. "Yea," says Myles confident, "I haven't showered yet, and I want to shower." Lamar laughs, "go for it," he says. "Thank you," Myles says and walks into the bathroom. A minute or so later we hear the water from the shower and Lamar and I laugh. Lamar stands up and walks to the door. "I'm going to the reception, see if they know more." "Alright," I say and Lamar is gone.
I look for a while longer outside as I hear someone knock on the door. I walk to the door and when I open it I see Briar and Jordan. "Well hello," I say. "Hi," says Jordan. "Great," says Briar sarcastic, "it looks like one big black hole here too." "Yep," I say as I let Briar and Jordan in. "So where is everyone?" Jordan asks. "Lamar is to the reception, Trevor is seeing if there's anywhere light and Myles is showering," I say. Briar and Jordan burst into laughing. "Wait," says Briar still laughing, "he's showering? In the dark? At 1 pm?" "Yea," I say, "seriously don't ask me why."
They can't stop laughing for another few minutes and after a while I get a text from Trevor; "Whole hotel is out of light, I'm coming back with Brittany and Victoria." "Ok," I just send back.
within a few second I hear again someone knock and open the door for Lamar. When I close the door again I hear more knocks and open the door again, this time for Brittany, Trevor and Victoria. While Briar and Jordan finally are done laughing and wipe away their tears Myles walks out the bathroom. "Did I miss something?" he says. "Not really," I say.
"No where is light," Trevor says. "And they don't know yet what it is," Lamar says, "the whole neighborhood doesn't have electric current." "So what now?" Brittany asks. "It's not that we're dying," Myles says with a 'seriously, just relax' tone in his voice. "We can just act like normal people and go to bed," Lamar says. "Yea," Briar says, "but that's boring." "And I just don't want to sleep yet," Jordan.
"Then there's only one solution," says Trevor putting his flashlight under his chin, "Ghosts stories," he says with a creepy voice. "NO WAY," Victoria says.
So that's how it ends up, telling ghost stories. But they aren't actually scary so it turns fast into just funny stories. Within a minute I feel my eyes getting heavy and I fall asleep.
