The years flew by like birds in the sky. Soon, Isabela Rose was no longer a crying baby but a walking, talking, energetic little girl. She was different from Lian in many ways. While Lian was adventurous, active, and loved running outside, Isabela was gentle, curious, and loved listening to stories.
She was truly a mix of two worlds. She wore beautiful dresses and had the manners of a little lady, but she also loved running barefoot in the grass and picking flowers just like her mother used to do.
The house in San Isidro was always filled with noise and laughter. The children grew up knowing two worlds perfectly. They knew how to behave in expensive restaurants and how to eat with their hands under the trees. They knew the value of money but also the value of simple things.
🎬 SCENE: THE STORYTELLING
Setting: Evening. Under the Acacia tree.
The family was sitting outside, enjoying the cool breeze. The stars were bright above them.
"Mama! Tell us the story again!" Isabela begged, hugging Elara’s arm. "The story about the storm and the baby!"
"Yes! Tell us again!" Lian joined in. "I want to hear how you found us... I mean, how you were found!"
Elara smiled, looking at Liam who nodded encouragingly. She began to tell the tale.
"It was a long time ago, in the year 2006..."
She told them about the big storm, the thunder and lightning, and how a baby was left at a doorstep to keep her safe. She told them about Manuel and Rosa who took her in, and how she grew up happy even without many things.
"And then," she continued, "a handsome prince came from the city on a big black car..."
"Not a prince! Just a boy!" Liam interrupted playfully.
"And he got his shoes dirty!" Lian laughed loudly.
"Yes," Elara smiled. "He got his shoes dirty, and his heart clean. And he fell in love with the girl."
Isabela’s eyes were wide with wonder. "So, Mama, you were really a princess hidden all that time?"
"I was always a princess to your Papa," Elara said softly. "But yes, God had a plan. He gave me two families so I could have double the love."
"So, we are princes and princesses too?" Isabela asked.
"You are children of love," Liam said seriously, looking at them. "That makes you more special than any royal blood."
🎬 SCENE: LESSONS OF LIFE
Setting: The farm. The children are learning how things grow.
One weekend, Manuel decided it was time to teach the grandchildren where food comes from.
They went to the small plot of land behind the blue house. Manuel gave them small tools and seeds.
"Now," Manuel said kindly. "You put the seed in the soil. You cover it gently. And then, you have to water it every day. You have to take care of it, and wait."
"Why can't we just buy food in the store?" Lian asked innocently.
"Because you must appreciate the effort, anak," Manuel explained. "Everything good in life takes time and effort. The rice, the vegetables, the love... everything needs care."
The children worked hard, digging in the dirt, getting their hands and clothes dirty. They loved it. They laughed and played, completely unaware or unconcerned that they were heirs to vast fortunes. To them, this was just fun. This was life.
Liam and Elara watched from a distance.
"They are turning out perfectly," Liam said proudly. "They are not spoiled. They are grounded."
"Because we showed them both sides," Elara agreed. "We didn't hide the poverty or the richness. We showed them that it's just life. And what matters is inside."
