Dimitri's point of view The moment she fled the clearing, everything inside me snapped. My wolf, Kael, roared so loudly in my head that I almost staggered. "Go after her!" he demanded, already trying to seize control. I didn’t even fight him I shot forward immediately. pop into find her before I lose my trail again. I had never smelled something so intoxicating. Never felt a pull so violent and magnetic. Never wanted anything, anyone, so desperately. Yet she slipped through the forest like smoke. I try to reach for her but because of the distance between she and I she ran. catching only flickers of her: the shimmer of her gown, a strand of soft red hair bouncing as she ran, the faint trail of her scent that drove my wolf completely wild. Then... Gone. She vanished through the back pathway, and by the time I reached it, the space was empty. Silent. Like she had been swallowed by the night. For a moment, I thought I had imagined her. But my heartbeat, still racing, told me otherwise. My wolf pacing like a caged animal told me otherwise. The hollow ache in my chest told me otherwise. “Dimitri?” a voice called. It was Lucien, my Beta, approaching with Rylan, my Gamma. “We lost you back there. What happened?” I dragged a hand through my hair, still breathing hard. “I found her,” I murmured. Rylan blinked. “Found who?” "the girl I've been looking for all this time " There both had a shocked expression on their face. "And... she's...". " She's what?" Lucien asked. “My mate.” Both of them froze. “You’re serious?” Lucien asked, eyes widening. I nodded once. “But she… ran.” The word tasted like failure. “I almost got her. But she bolted, and I don’t even know her name.” Rylan let out a low whistle. “That’s rough, man.” Rough wasn’t even the word. My emotions were spiraling joy from finding her, anger at losing her again, frustration at my own helplessness. Everything inside me was a storm. Leon clapped my shoulder. “Let’s go back and look around. Someone must know her.” I agreed immediately. Anything to get a clue. We returned to the party, but before we could start asking questions, a sudden shift in the atmosphere rippled through the hall. a maid rust out and announced "The princess is missing" Conversations died down. People turned toward Alpha Rowan and Luna Helena standing near the stage with grave expressions. The Luna’s voice trembled slightly as she spoke: "what...what do you mean she's missing..." Alpha Rowan held her when she was about to fall. “We’ve been trying to find the princess, but she isn’t anywhere in the pack house or grounds. Her room appears empty, and we found… a note. We believe she ran away.” The crowd erupted with murmurs and gasps. and then they may took out the note and showed the Alpha Rowan and Luna Helena. they look shocked beyond words. then I heard the Luna saying her sobs. "Clarice, my baby where could you have gone" and then the alpha son also step closer and took the note for me his father's hand, when he read it he was also shocked. Clarice… The name echoed in my head. My heart dropped to my stomach as realization crept up my spine. Rylan whispered, “Do you think… that’s her?” “we'll know for sure when we ask them,” I said, voice rough. “Ask them. I need a picture. Now.” Lucien, knowing how urgent this was, guided me through the crowd toward her parents. They were clearly distressed, but when they recognized me the heir of a powerful pack they composed themselves enough to listen. “Alpha Rowan,” I said respectfully, though impatience churned under my skin, “I believe I may have seen your daughter earlier tonight. May I see a picture of her?” The Luna hesitated torn between fear for her daughter and etiquette then quickly pulled out her phone and showed me a photo. My breath left my body. “That’s her,” I said instantly. “She’s my mate.” Both parents froze, and the Luna’s eyes filled with shock. “Clary is… your mate?” she whispered. “Yes.” My voice came out harsher than intended. “She ran before I could reach her.” Alpha Rowan exchanged a stunned look with his wife. “ no wonder she left this note... seems like she saw it coming so she took safety measure.” My chest tightened."what note" when I saw what was written in the note I was completely Bewildered. utterly shocked at the content of the note and my face turn even more serious. “I need to find her.” “We all do,” the Luna said softly. “She’s never been outside this pack border before. She doesn’t know the world out there.” My wolf growled protectively. Lucien stepped forward. “We’ll help search.” Alpha Rowan nodded. “We’ll coordinate. Start at the borders she can’t have gotten far.” But something told me otherwise. Something in the emptiness she left behind, something in the look she had when she turned away… She wasn’t just hiding. She was running. And I had no idea where my mate had gone. But I would find her. Even if it took everything. And from the content of the note I can get she doesn't want me but it doesn't matter, from what I know of the make Bond it's very hard to resist so as long as I can find her I can get her back even if I have to cage her and keep her by my side I will make her stop hating mates and the mate bond. She's mine and mine alone no one can take her away from me A dark smirk forming at the top of my lips "you can't run from me,seems like it was predestined. you are meant to be mine"
