Rubeus glared at Morgana. He really didn't want to see his sister in any pain. He wondered what would actually happen if she rejected her mate. He knew that if Taranis died she would die, because she had given a piece of her soul to him when she found him. However, he did not know if the rejection would kill her. Would she get that part of her soul back if he did?
Ruby didn't die, but she never let Billy mark her, or mate her for that matter. Though he did note it broke her to reject him, and she was still feeling the pain. He wondered if that part of her soul died when Billy did. He prayed to his Goddess she would get another mate, and be happy.
