Lyra Liam didn’t come home last night or if he did, I didn’t see him. And frankly, I was glad about that. I still couldn’t get yesterday’s office encounter out of my head. The way he’d roughly slammed me into the wall, his stupid questions—which, honestly, my subconscious had warned me he would snap—the things Aries had said to him, the near kiss again and Jonathan almost catching us…it was all too much.
