Lyra I took a cup from the new coffee maker Sophie had bought, gulping down its contents without caring about the burn it gave my throat. I dropped the cup and turned to watch Sophie preparing breakfast in the kitchen. I had returned to her condo after Liam left, and I hadn’t seen or heard from him in days.
