Liam I stepped out of the hall, the chatter and laughter fading behind me. I needed air. I thought the cool breeze would help clear my head, but it did nothing. For some reason, the image of Lyra in that stunning red dress refused to leave my mind. She looked ethereal. I knew I shouldn't think about her like that, especially not tonight. Hell, I half expected Aries to snap at me for it. But of course, when it came to Lyra, he turned into an alpha wolf with no moral compass. I exhaled, trying to clear my head. I needed the image of her gone, but it stayed. My neck was tight, and my muscles tense. I forced myself to swallow as if that would somehow ease the tension. But no matter what I did, she was all I saw. I knew she would be here tonight. I mean, I told her she could come. B
