Lyra The day moved slowly. I sat alone, my thoughts spiraling. At one point, it felt like the walls were closing in on me. Even though I had slept the night before, my body still felt heavy with fatigue, and my mind was very restless. So I decided to freshen up. After bathing, I combed out my scant curls and put on a simple pink dress. There was makeup in the room’s closet, but I didn’t bother with it. I had no one to impress.
