I stared at Bella in confusion, bewildered as to why she was suddenly treating me that way. My eyebrows furrowed as I thought about the previous night and if I had done something to her I was not aware of.
I asked her what was wrong, but she just screamed at me to get out.
I was initially hurt when Bella asked me to get out of her room. However, I noticed her hands had been trembling as she yelled at me and her cheeks had been flushed, but not with anger. I wondered what had gone wrong.
I put my mouth to her door and tried to whisper reassuringly to her.
"I love you, Bella. No matter what, remember that I love you and will protect you with all of my heart."
