The Phoenixs lost beginning

At first it was you can join if you want to, then it switched to unbridled anger and settled on fear from some of my pack mates. The Alpha of our group will be livid, and most likely on his way there. Shifting was hard enough as is when you don't have to worry about what can light on fire by you but even worse when you do. So I ran instead, better me to deal with this conflict then him. A giant shadow flew overhead telling me to have a few minutes to get in and fix the situation before he lands and makes it to Exos spot. So I sped up even more. As I made it over there it took everything in me not to laugh. A phoenix stood proud with a sword of fire gleaming against Andrew's pale throat. She had somehow wounded Ash to the point he wasn't even twitching but I only saw minimal blood. Last but not least Exos stood there looking like he finally found love.

Her eyes finally landed on me pulling me into the depths of her fire. Which should've burned this whole forest down, especially the vampire. That right there caused me to pause. Flames burn everything without precision and hers only made up a sword. The outer lengths of it was dark fire then a brilliant flame that burned hot the inside was white as if the heat shredded all color from it. It wasn't all phoenix fire I should know better than most. What we have here is a hybrid just not sure what her other part could be. Phoenixs could only produce an heir with another phoenix. 

"O'Maiya f*****g release me before I make you regret it" seethed Andrew. Her response was to put the sword tighter to his throat sending a nead of distorted blood down his neck, causing him to hiss. Was it the threat or the fact he used what seemed to be her name.

"Move even a centimeter closer and the vampire will lose his head" she stated casually as if she was talking of the weather not murder. I took a step back, trying not to entice her into killing my bonded brother. 

"O'Maiya '' I paused waiting to see her reaction which so happened to be like putting a Boulder on her back. "Can I just call you Mia? Makes it easier and the sweetness of O'Maiya just doesn't seem you. You seem to be more scrappy like a Mia''. She untensed just a smidge to let me know she was willing to at least talk.

As if unaware how to answer she replied "okkkk… call me whatever, but stay away". She took a few steps back dragging Andrew with. Unaware that our Alpha was sitting at the top of the trees in human form that she stepped closer too. Paxton sat there watching all this unfold and wouldn't hesitate to take her life to save a pack member.  

"Hi, Mia, my name is Titus, you are holding a sword to Andrew's throat. The man candy is Exos and i don't have a f*****g clue what you did to our beloved Ash. Now we are one step closer to becoming friends. Could you put the big knife down, now?" 

She seemed to consider it as it moved a few inches from his throat. Silly girl what was she thinking. Andrew escaped her grasp and stood by me looking ready to attack. She just started laughing while the sword penetrated the ground with little force. "My my boys you see I think you left one out of the introductions. I'm not stupid enough to miss the dragon that went overhead. No friendship is forged on lies." Mia eloquently replied as if she was our princess and demanded our respect with none of hers to spare. 

Paxtons presence was a hard one to miss but I was hoping she wouldn't sense our secret weapon against her if she were to become a problem. She must have seen the moment it all kicked into place because she started laughing and she waved her hand towards the sword and it vanished. She sat down like a rebel teen who owns the world. "You guys scaredy cats or something. I put away my weapon so come let's break bread" she said sarcastically while swinging her arms wide in welcome. Asher inched towards her putting his head on her leather clad leg. Her hand instinctively began to rub behind his ears which rewarded all of us with his foxy grin.
