Chapter Five

CHAPTER FIVE: DIGITS

YNNA

"What did you just said, Ynna?" Ali teased while we're here in our usual spot near Meg's building.

"If you can't shut your mouth, Alyana. I'll sew it." I threatened her but instead of stopping, she burst out laughing while looking towards Casper's direction.

It's been a week since we learned that we're both having the same Spotify account. And also, it's been a week since they started bullying and teasing me that I got scammed because I told them what happened.

"Are you happy?" She asked while grinning, I rolled my eyes before smashing her with my book. 

She just can't stop laughing! I shouldn't have told them that Casper's handsome when we saw him on the Opening Ceremony weeks ago before this whole thing happened! They kept on teasing me that I have a crush on him.

"Ynna?"

Sometimes, I just really want to be eaten by the ground rather than staying alive, breathing and humiliating myself.

"Hey, Ynna. They're calling you, are you deaf?" Ali teased so I glared at her before turning around to face Casper. 

"What?" I asked him, he smiled before, "Lunch?" He asked, my eyes widen.

So now, he's asking me to go with him for lunch. What the hell is the meaning of this?

"I hope I'm asked for lunch too." Ali began with the teasing again that made Casper looked at her direction. 

"Do you want to come? It's not just the two of us, I'm with my friends." Casper said.

Without hesitation, Ali took her bag while nodding her head. This girl, she knew that even if Casper didn't invite her, I'll tug her along. I can't leave her here because she's alone. And, I don't want to feel out of place wherever Casper's taking me.

"Hi Ms. Engineer!" 

I rolled my eyes when I heard one of Casper's friends say that, "─sshole. She's Ynna." Casper corrected that made them laugh. 

What's funny about my name? 

They are all Engineering students because their ID laces says it all. And, they are all seniors because of the bluish white color of their laces. 

"Let's go to Pansitas." One of Casper's friends suggested, he's kind of small but he's handsome. He looked like he's the most intelligent among them because of the serious expression that he always wear.

"Third gate?" One of Casper's friends asked, he's the tallest among them and he looked like a basketball player with a playboy aura. In contrary to the smaller one, he smiles a lot and he's like the joker of their group. He's also the one who called me "Ms. Engineer" a while ago. 

"─sshole! We're with them and they are girls." Casper told the both of them that's why they shook their head before the jolly one smirked. 

"Okay, then let's do that. Let's use the first gate, may I remind you that the buildings you'll see there are College of Nursing and the ─." Casper immediately shut his mouth with a pencil, the heck. 

I don't even know where the pencil came from!

"Okay, we'll use the third gate because there's a piece of sh─t here who loves selling me to Nursing students." Casper explained while glaring towards his friends' direction. 

Ali and I both laughed before following them, "He loves nursing students, that's why." The jolly one teased him again that made Casper hit his neck.

While we're walking towards Pansitas, I composed a message for Meg telling that we're going to eat in Pansitas for lunch. After I sent that message, my forehead creased when I received a message from Ali.

LMAO. So, your crush likes Nursing student, huh? 

She even inserted a lot of laughing emoticons so I rolled my eyes before glaring at her, she's really a bully! 

It didn't take long, when we arrived in Pansitas there's a lot of people inside because it's already twelve noon which basically the lunch time of all college students (well, almost). 

I checked my phone but there's still no reply coming from Megan. Maybe she's still in class but nevertheless, I still reserved her a seat beside me.

"What do you want?" Casper asked, I was kind of shock but I immediately composed myself before pointing what I want in the menu in front. 

He nodded before asking Ali too, she also did what I did.

"Go back to our table, I'll order our food." He said so we nodded before walking back towards our table where two of his friends are already busy with their phones.

"Ynna, I'm Kris." The serious one introduced himself with a smile plastered on his face so I nodded before smiling back. 

"So, you're all Civil Engineering student? Your lace says it all." 

They both nodded, "We are all Civil Engineering students even though ─." The jolly one stopped Kris when he's about to say before smiling.

"Hello Ms. Engi ─, I mean, Ynna. I'm Patch, at your service." He introduced himself so I nodded before glancing towards Ali's direction whose busy typing something on her phone. 

"She's Ali, my friend." I told them, she smiled towards their direction before looking at me.

"Meg can't make it because she's doing something in the library." She said so I sighed before nodding.

"You're pretty like you're meant for me." 

We all glanced towards Patch's direction who's currently looking at Ali's whose face is red as a tomato, she smirked. 

"What? You want to apply as a sugar daddy?" She joked that made me burst out laughing. 

I kind of get what she's trying to say. 

"You're over reacting! I'm just three years older than you! Kris, look!" Patch whined while tugging Kris shirt.

"What again, Patch?" Casper asked, he just arrived in our table. 

He sat on the chair in front of me, "She called me sugar daddy?!" Patch said hysterically that made Casper laugh. 

"Dude, apply a freaking ice to the burnt area." He joked.

Patch pouted like a kid. 

"What's your course, Ali?" Kris asked, my forehead creased before looking at Ali. 

Oh, shoot. I remembered that she left her ID in our dorm. 

"Tourism." Ali answered with a smile. Kris nodded.

"Dude, Tourism. I remembered that someone rejected you from her department, your charms doesn't have any affect on Tourism students right?" Kris joked, that's far from what I expected. 

Patch immediately throw some tissues towards his direction. 

"─sshole! Unlike you, the Accounting student rejected you!" He defended that made us laugh while they started battling using the tissues. 

Wow, so mature.

They settled down when our food arrived, I prayed in silence before digging into my food. Our table fell silent so I nudged Ali.

She cleared her throat, "So, you're all graduating students?" She asked, our eyes widen when they all stopped eating.

They crossed their fingers before, "It depends on our faith." They said in chorus. 

"Wow, synchronized. How many days did you practice?" Ali asked, stopping herself from laughing.

They looked unto each other before Patch answered, "Days?! We practiced a year for that!" 

We all laughed before we continue eating, after we ate I nudge Casper. 

"Hey, our payment." I told her while handing him a 100-peso bill but he shook his head.

"That's my treat. No need to pay for it." He answered so I smiled before nodding, Patch and Kris widen their eyes dramatically.

"Dude, that's unfair. You met us first and ─." Again, he was stopped by a pencil.

A while ago, the pencil inserted in his mouth is an ordinary pencil but right now, it's a freaking mechanical pencil!

"─sshole. Are you a girl?" 

He fell silent but he's still pouting his lips, what a baby he is. 

We walked back towards the university using the third gate because of Casper's issue about Nursing students.

"I'll just walk from here, that's my building." Ali said when we we're about to walked to send her there. 

"We'll ─." She immediately stopped me before smiling.

"No, I can manage." She said so I nodded before hugging her and after that, she walked towards her building on the left side while we walked straight.

"Where are you going, Ynna?" Kris asked.

I smiled, "College of Psychology." I answered, "We'll ─." Just like what Ali did to me, I stopped them.

"No, I can manage." I said while chuckling so they all nodded before they stopped in front of their building while I walked straight.

I was shocked when I got a message from an unknown number saying, "Save my number, we looked crazy when we're exchanging message through Spotify playlist titles." 

I already knew who it was, the thought of him texting me made me blush but I immediately shrug off that thought before replying, "Okay. Where did you get my number?"              

"At the back of your ID."

I held unto my chest when I heard Casper's voice behind me, I turn to see him.

"I told you, it's fine ─." He made me stopped by raising his hand in front of my face.

I'm lucky that he didn't stopped me using his magical pencils!

"Don't be so full of yourself. This is the way towards the library and I have something to do with the library." He said, I glared at him.

"─sshole." I mumbled before I walked pass him, I didn't turn around even though he's calling my name continuously.
