The party was so good and made me realize that it was really about time I came clean with my parents.

"Hey hey"!

"hey girl what time is it"

"it's time for you to go,thank you I want to sleep,I've made up my made tomorrow will finally the day I tell my parents "

"Okay see you let me go and continue my sleep"

The day was a success we got away with my snicking out.I had a peaceful sleep and got up early to take a shower and make breakfast

"Good morning dad how are you?

"I am good baby girl, your mum and I will be having our meal in the room today"

"why dad I have something I want to discuss with both of you"

"Okay"

I felt like time was flying,the answer my dad gave me left me so anxious as I was waiting for them to come for us to talk.Leon came over I told him that I couldn't leave the house as I was waiting for my parents.After a few hours of waiting I heard foot steps my heart started raising.

"My Angel"

My mother call me with her sweet voice and that made me so calm and ready to talk

"Mummy! I haven't been seeing you much this days how are you?"

"Am good my Angel your dad says you wanted to talk to us sorry we couldn't be here earlier"

"it's fine Mother,let's take a sit and talk"

I looked at my parents faces and they looked so worried that made me wonder what they thought I wanted to discuss with them.

"Tell us girl,what is so important that you called for a family meeting"

my voice began to shake again as my father is one of the most feared men around,I have always been his baby and never got to face his angry side but I felt like what I was about to say will make me face that side of him today.

"talk to us why are you quiet".

"Well dad the thing is I wanted to inform you that I have a boyfriend.?

"What! not under my roof, I have always made it clear that you are not allowed to have a boyfriend.What is it that you lack in this house for you to have a boyfriend"

My father said that so angrily that immediately he completed his statement he walked out.my shivering became so visible that my mother came to sit next to me

"My Angel don't worry give it some time I will take to your father.How did you get yourself a boyfriend when you know what your dad's only rule is"

"Mother I didn't mean to make dad upset that is why I thought me telling him was the best way he could find out"

My mother stood and told me she wants to go and talk to my dad,I should wait for them.I was shaking for it was the first time my father was ever angry at me. After an hour they finally came back.

"When did you have a boyfriend?"

"well dad I want to tell you the whole story"

"Go on am waiting and who is he?"

"Dad I started dating a few months back and I have been trying to tell you but I haven't been finding the right time,well I have been dating my friend who I have known for some time now"

"What! you are dating Leon,I thought he is your bestfriend."

"No dad I am not dating Leon,My boyfriend is Aaron"

My parents where so speechless, knowing the history I have with Aaron knowing how much i couldn't stand him it was so unbelievable.Aaron changed over the years and I found myself so in love.

"We all know I really did not want you to have a boyfriend anytime soon but atleast it is Aaron and we have know him since forever"

"Angel, please be careful with how you carry yourself you are still a kid"

"Thank you mum and dad I am really glad that I have told you withholding this

secret has been hard on both Aaron and I"

"We are not happy that you kept a secret and disobeyed my only rule but atleast you have come clean about it."

"Thank you so much Dad I am sorry I did all this"

"since we are all becoming clean and saying our secrets,I think it is time we tell her sweetheart"

"My Mother looked so worried and said no this isn't the right time"

My parents kept on talking about telling me something which made me so anxious.I thought they wanted to divorce but looking at them that wasn't it

"what is it that you want to tell me?"

"there is never a right time mother just tell me I am a big girl I can take any news"
