PROM

Preparations for prom where finally here.We went shopping for my dress,I fell in love with an off shoulder black velvet dress it complimented my tone skin,the length was long with a thigh high slit and so tight it brought out all my body shape, the back was showing a little bit of skin but I didn't mind it,I paired with a diamond necklace and a pair of diamond earrings they brought out the spackle in my brown eyes.The sales lady brought out a perfect pair of heels which matched my necklace.When I walked out of the dressing room mum stared at she like she just saw an Angel,she dropped a tear as I walked over my eyes where filled with tears everything was blurry.The girls who where also trying on dresses stoped what they where doing and stared at me,they too requested to get a dress like mine but it was one of a kind.Standing in front of a mirror I imagined my dark curly hair falling over my bare back.I was in the spotlight as everyone gazed at me.The quietness of the room was over as Mum spoke out.

"This is the dress,it was made for you"

"Yes mother this is it"

She said this statement as if it was the last thing she could ever say and never regret it,I looked at her she struggling to stand up as she stretched her arms to hold me.After making our purchase we drove home I was so excited all I wanted was to go to prom.This walk to the mall made mum so tired all she wanted was to rest.

"Hello Princess,have you found the dress you needed?"

"Yes dad we found a perfect fit"

The night was so long I kept on turning,all I thought of was my dress, decided to call Leon to came over and keep me busy.We kept on talking about the prom.

"Did you ask Emma to prom"

"Yes I arranged a school music band and made a huge poster asking her to be my prom date with a bunch of roses it was so romantic she accepted my proposal and said she wanted to be my girlfriend".

"Wow that's so amazing,you have a girlfriend now we can be going on double dates".

I was happy to Leon happy but it was late and I became sleepy,we called it a night.The morning came and I called Aaron just so we know how our program will go.Mum came to my room to help me prepare when she asked about the wig I decided to go bold for my dress was good.

"My Angel you look so beautiful are you sure you are not wearing your wig?"

"Yes mother I am fine"

Later in the day Aaron came to pick me as I walked down the stairs staring at him he looked so handsome in his black suit,his blue eyes lit the room,I whispered My tall handsome prince charming.He gave me a wide smile that made me feel butterflies in my stomach.I turned to look at my dad he kept on taking pictures.

"Wow babygirl you look so astonishing,wow am out of words"

"Yes Mr Johns wow"

"Aaron bring her back at 11pm on the dot"

After getting a couple of photos it was time to leave if we wanted to make it on time.We walked to the Limo as we walked out of the door Leon was there he looked so different and smart for a moment I didn't believe he was my best friend his blond hair,pink lips and perfect height were all visible.Looking straight into his eyes I smiled and leaned in for a hug.

"Wow miss bold head you look good"

For the first time being called bold head didn't move me. We got into the car but Leon didn't come with us because he was going to get his date we drove to a flower shop before heading to the dance,we got there a bit late.

"My Queen, We are hear let me open the door for you".

"My King thank you"

We chuckled and walked out of the car while making our way to the dance Aaron held me so tight I felt like a real Queen.We got to thee door and the music stoped people turned to look at us, As we made our way to the dance floor the room was so silent I could hear the echo of my foot steps,we slowly made our way as all eyes where on us some of the guys even forgot about there dates at took steps forward.Leon just stood there holding Emma I looked at him and he smiled.

"I think the queen of the south just walked in "the DJ announced

"I think every guy wishes they where me"Aaron whispers

"Oh baby shut up and dance with me"

The music was turned back on and for some couples the night was ruined.I ignored all the stares and danced with my boyfriend all I wanted was to enjoy my night.I had a time of my life being so close to Aaron for hours his scent so muscler mixed with my rose scent made me feel like I was already in heaven, Feeling his body against mine and not fearing what people might think was the best I was lost in thoughts I didn't hear the music stop.

"Hey beautiful the song is done"

"Oh my God I was lost in thoughts"

"Hello everyone you look so beautiful today,I can't believe it is your prom it feels like yesterday when y'all started high school."

We laughed to the principals joke..

"it is about time we announced the best dressed couple and prom King and Queen,but I feel you all deserve to be crowned but there can only be one winner.Well the best dressed couple is..."

There was silence in the room until the students shouted "Aaron and Aurora!"

Well there isn't a need for me to open this envelope then.I smiled so bright as we walked to get the award.

"see you make me look good little girl"

Aaron's whisper made me blush so hard.

"And the prom King and Queen is."

After a long suspense the principal called out names.

"Leon and Emma!"

They both looked so surprised for I didn't mention that I nominated them.After being crowned they where dancing and Leon gave her a big kiss.Aaron suggested we leave for he had one more surprise for me.
