All becoming real

After receiving the saddest news one could ever get, I had to go in my room to study for my finals.I left the dinner table without saying a word it was sad for what I had read was real and six months is not enough for me to be with my mother for the last time.

I got to my bedroom got my books and wanted to study but tears where just rolling out of my eyes. I cried my self to sleep untill later in the night when my alarm went of I started studying.I had no concentration I called Aaron to cool off.

" Hello babe "

" Hey baby girl,why aren't you asleep this late?"

" Well I have to study but I can't concentrate "

" Why? do you have anything disturbing you? baby I told you, you probably did not read the results right stop stressing "

" Yah, you are right I read them wrongly "

" See, so stop overthinking and study "

" Babe she doesn't have six years to live but six months "

I got no response from Aaron at some point I thought the call has cut only to hear him take a deep breath. That made me think alot as well, that's my reality and I had no choice but to live it.

"Listen her baby girl, don't waste time crying and playing the blame game, use the time you have with mum the most memorable. "

" How do I do that babe when I know soon she will leave me "

" Stop focusing on that and live in the present, you have your mum with you stop thinking of her being gone. "

My talk with Aaron made me feel much more better because I was feeling like my world is falling apart. I Got my books and studied for tomorrow's paper while on it dad knocked at my door.

" baby girl may I come in "

" Yes dad I am awake, you can come in "

" Look here I know this news is hard on you but think about mum "

" No dad don't worry about it am fine "

" Really?? "

Dad said that in disbelief and I wasn't surprised by his reaction coz I would be shocked too.I then held my dad hand and smiled.

" Yah dad, Let's just put mums happiness first "

" Wow look here my baby girl is now a responsible young lady, Okay then let me leave you to it. Good luck with your studies "

" Okay dad good night "

Talking to dad was so hard seeing the sadness in his eyes, while he is trying to make sure we are all fine. Its sad he puts his happiness last, well I guess that's what makes him a great dad. I got back to my studies all I wanted to do was to make my parents happy. I got up early and got ready for school upon going downstairs I found Leon sitting on my sofa looking like he just saw a dead body.

" Hey Leon what's wrong? Why do you look like that? "

"Hey Aurora don't worry about it, are you ready? "

"I just have to be let me go and say bye to my parents "

while walking to the room Leon's look was still on my mind.

" Morning mum I'll be leaving now "

" Alright my Angel, good luck I know you will Ace your exams "

" Thank you more "

I stood and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

" I love you mum "

I walked out the room only to find Leon having the same look, I then decided I had to talk to him.

" Hey Leon, Let's go."

" Okay Aurora "

" Now you really have to tell me what is going on, I can't be walking with you looking like that "

" I said don't worry about it! "

It was the first time Leon ever Snapped at me which meant there was something serious going on.

" Hey if it's about Chloe finding out about your dad and the wedding, dont worry about it I already talked to her some time back and she is really understanding "

" No it's not about that "

" wait what, you talked to Chloe "

" Yah sorry,she did not want me to tell you, she thought you were going to be all sorry for her "

"Oh I see, thank you bestie I owe you a solid "

" Now tell me what are you stressing about? "

" Well I don't have feelings for Emma, I dated her only to make a girl I like jealous but now Emma likes me and am scared of breaking up with her "

" Leon! Why would you do that to just get a girl. You know Emma really like you"

" I know that's why I don't know what to do, she says I don't act like her boyfriend and she is complaining "

" I don't think this is the right time to tell Emma but after the examination you have to break it all to her the whole truth"

" Okay thank you so much I was really stressed "

" Now tell me who is this girl that got you doing crazy things, is she still dating? "

Talking to Leon made me forget everything I was going through for a moment I felt like my self and I was glad Leon was back to normal.

"Enough about me, Tell me how are you?"

" I am fine "

" No you are not talk to me bestie "

"Leon the doctor say mum only has six months to live "

" What!! there is no way that is true she went through all the therapy, so you mean all that was for nothing"

Leon asked me that with so much anger for the first time I saw tears roll down his face.

" No all the therapies have help with her living this long ".

Saying that hit me so different my eyes were full of tears. Leon hugged me so tight and whispered.

" We will get through this, I will always be by your side bestie"

I wiped off my tears and decided to do exactly what Aaron told me, to enjoy my present with mum.

"Best let us go and make our parents proud."
